Lunesta.......yes the taste.

The first time I had it, I remember taking a drink from a bottle of water and thinking it was poisoned or something.  It was awful and I flushed them when I saw that listed as a side effect.

As for the pool...the temps here have only been mostly in the 60's and I can't even imagine being in a pool with these chills I have!!!!

That's what save me when I use to go through w/d--my 9 ft deep pool with a diving board. I didn't have the strength to swan dive but moving in the water worked wonders. I was probably one of the few folks here that actually slept too much during w/d. I mean, I was getting 12-14 hrs a day. That was God having mercy on me because the other symptoms sucked!

I am also on my day 2.  Definitely low energy today and achy.  I read the entire book Pill Head and watched movies.  Drinking Odwalla protein drinks, carrot juice, coffee, water ... trying to stay real hydrated ... not much of an appetite at all.  I HAD to go out to drop off something in the library drop box and it was amazing the feeling I had just getting out of my house and seeing that life was still going on outside.  I hope to feel well enough tomorrow to get out in the sunshine and do something other than be in my house.

Thanks everyone for the support about pushing on.  It does help to know it gets better.

Hey again,

I forgot to add....congrats on the DAY 2 milestone.  Yes it's a milestone, an important one.  I had my Day 2 only 6 days ago so I surely can commiserate with the sleep thing.

I am supposed to camp on our Thanksgiving in Canada which is Oct 11th.  We are camping in northern Ontario and October up there can start to get pretty cold.  I've seen snow that time of year. Thankfully I should be done with the chills before then!!

I'm not eating any worms though!!  At least not on purpose :)

It's amazing how much better we feel when we make ourselves to get out.  It's a great distraction and helps you to stop watching the clock.

Hang in there for day 3.  You're close to starting to feel better.  Push through the crap, keep pushing.  It DOES get better.

Keep keeping!!!!

For me to exercise, walk, swim I have to kick myself in the ***. During withdrawals it toke a tank to make me sit up. I know the more I moved the better I felt if feeling better is what they call it in WD. Seems to me you are doing the best you can. Number 1 you are not using. Lunesta doesn't work for me, but sleep will come. That is what they say. You have a lot of support here. You will make it and those boulders will become stepping stones. Hope you get to feeling better. I could do a cheer for you! But I don't think that would give you much motivation. Feel Better

wow thanks for the comments. unfortunately I did not make it to the pool, but did make it to the store and walked my dog... I forgot there was such a thing as sunshine. what a weird feeling. I felt like a vampire going into the sun, i wanted to hiss!! Im def gonna make it to the pool tomorrow. I live in Ga so its still warm here. Anyone else from the dirty south? I really enjoy camping and livin off the land. If I could get a buddy to go with me i am dying to go camping.. All these survival shows and man vs wild eating bugs, I enjoy all that stuff.. im sure if i was presented with a big grub worm I wouldnt do it, but watching it on tv I say to myself, "I cand do that!" Hopefully ill make it to the pool tomorrow... Please dont slip on day 3!!!! I just wanna sleep and stop the leg pain!

Lots of good advice here - yeah, I would LOVE to have a pool to go to right now myself - although I'm afraid I might drown as I have absolutely NO energy and I'm on day SIX of no pills.  Sorry, I'd love to be able to say the enery comes back - but I still don't know myself when that will be.  But I will say that I'm proud of the choice I have made and I'm proud of you too - day two for me was the worst.  The other stuff like the goosebumps, aches, nausea and everything other than low energy and insomnia does get better in a few days - well at least it has for me.

Good luck in your choice to live...you deserve it!

HI I agree with the other posters get out and get in the pool...it may take a lot to get you there but once your in it you will find it relaxing also the exorcise of swimming will help
you overall ...my wife forced me to get out and go for walks at first it was just around the block then we built up to around the subdivision progress may come in baby steps but it dose come if you begin to try....it will help...the energy crash can be debilitating you just have to push past it...your doing great for day 2 hang in there and keep posting for support we all want to see you make it....you can do this....its just going to take some perseverance good luck and God bless......Gnarly

I wish I could use my pool.  I am in Maine, and well...Autumn IS here for us!  I actually was looking out across the deck this morning thinking.

I too am on DAY TWO!!!!  Over 48 hours clean, I wish I could say that I felt awesome!  Ehhh, I suppose I can, I DO feel awesome, as I made the best decision for me two days ago.  But physically, (shudder)

I am happy that at least one of us can sleep.  That is the one thing that I really could handle.  I, at this point am craving being healthy more than I am for a crushed pill up my nose!

Keep going on, you can do it!!!!

As Dory from Finding Nemo says: JUST KEEP SWIMMING!!!!

the first week of my jump from suboxone i had no energy just like u. I forced myself to the pool and got in. Wow what a differnece. i found that swimming really took my mind off of everything and i could really enjoy it. plus it got my endorphins going and it also gaveme a good workout and helped me sleep good at night.

Go for the swim u will feel so much better. i promise.

Yes, you need to just do it!  The pool will work for several things.  It's relaxing, good exercise, helps RLS and wears you out for tonight when it's time to sleep!

GO....do it!!! : )

BTW...yes, Lunesta gives you an AWFUL taste in your mouth.  It is just a benign side effect!  But nasty, I agree!  I haven't taken it for years, but I still remember that!

Going to your pool will make you feel a ton better.  Once you finally make the move to get up and do that the next time you will jog to the pool as you will find out how good it feels.  Now get up, grab a towel and dive in~~~~~~sara
