need proof for a friend

My friend said she bought crack and /or cocaine online.  Her husband took away her computer and now she's saying she made it all up.  Could she have really done it or are we being paranoid?

Do you mean she said she bought crack online from a site or something like that? No, not sure why she would say that. I did set up deals every now and then, through the comp, but that was just making sure a dealer was home. It's not sold online. Does she admit to having a problem with crack/cocaine?

oh most definitely.  Me and her husband have been trying to help her for a while.  I just can't get to wrapped up in it as much as I want to help her because I'm a recovering addict myself and we always say "they'll get us dirty b4 we get them clean".  I think just said it out of spite because her man was givin' her a hard time.  Besides, they moved to a small town where as far as I know, she won't have access to it.  Go figure, I live in one of the Meth capitals in the world where coke is not prevelant yet somehow, she would find it.  So I did some investigation of my own and believe it or not there are two websites that claim because of some legal loophole, it can be sold from abroad legally.  In my opinion those are probably DEA traps so for the time being, after I found that, she has no computer access.  I know we can't do it for her but with enough support hopefully she will get through the cravings

I agree! We have to think of our own recovery first, but it's great your trying to help her. Crack cravings are so tough, but at least she don't have access yet. If she wants to stay clean, then there is help out there. As you know, we have to want it for ourselves. Congrats on your recovery too. I wonder if she would be willing to go to a meeting or get some type of support? Good luck

When I first got clean I was running around trying to help active addicts get clean too and I found that I was most likely going to use before they stopped. You are so right about that!

And, since you recovering yourself, you know that she won't get clean until she either wants to or she hits bottom, like jail.

If there is a way to get her in-patient treatment, I always recommend it. There is no physical withdrawal with crack/cocaine as I am sure you know but she needs to deal with the mental cravings and the get to the core issues that cause her to use in the first place.
