need to quit

I have been doing  drugs for 16 yrs from meth,ice,coke,weed, pills but for last 8 yrs been methadone I'm up to avg of about 180 mg a day want to quite. Heard many things but how long do they stay in system and is it true about having seizures when quitting any help would be good thanks

hi,would it be worth increasing the methodone and dropping the other drug?Dont be to hard on yourself you can pull it back.all the best chris

Hey thanks for Your help but I do have good news im down to 40 mg aday but the bad thing is the only reason I'm down that far is because I started a different bad habit so I guess theirs no help I'll continue to be a druggie my whole life but nothing new used to being a worthless f...

HI your at a pritty hi dose of methadone it way way to high to jump from you need to taper down into the single digits we are not alowd to post taper plans but normally most people come off a couple of mg a week so its going to take a wile to get you off....methadone is not like other narcotics it plays by its own rules it can take 90 days or longer to feel well again once you stop ....I help most of the methadonians that come threw here and will be happy to help you I hope your getting it at a clinic they can set up a proper taper to bring you down as painlessly as possible ......you got to want it bad.....bad enough to endure 7 or 8 mo of tapering going in and out of withdrawals along the way that how it was for me I was doing 150 for 6 1/2 yrs if you need some help or just someone to talk to you can message me or just leave it on this post I will check it later im in and out all day today with dr appt and Christmas shopping hope to here back from you good luck and God bless......Gnarly
