no drug is worth this

Hi everyone im prity new to these sites but not new to addiction which i have been fighting for over 20 years be it drink, heroin, crack you name it i have
strugled with it. Currently i have been on 14mg of subbutex for 8 years and was snorting them for 7 till about 3 months ago when i developed a sinus infection which realy hit me hard and made me realise snorting is realy, realy not helping. i deafintly fell for the old trap that i was in control as it was a prescribed pill and as i was snorting half of what i was prescribed it was better for me. How wrong was i. Anyway snorted a for two days on trot four days ago and guess what? my throat is killing and my sinusses are swollen how stupid am i to think that 3 months would heal7-8 years of snorting.
Just need to know as anyone developed holes in throat or nasal cavitys throgh snorting subs.?

aint snorted anymore subs for last  ten days and also had a course of antibiotics to help but i havent seen a doctor yet. wont be doing it any more and hopfuly will be seeing my doc in next week so should see a specialist within a few weeks. cheers for ya coments glad to know people care.

Subs are not meant to be snorted. The lining of the sinuses and nasal cavities are very delicate.  You should go and see an ENT doctor asap. Infection from the sinuses can easily spread to the brain. If you need it he will prescibe an antibiotic and assess the tissue damage. Good luck friend. I hope you won't snort anymore and will seek help getting off the subs.

Hey I'm not sure what subs are buy i do have a cousin on mothers side who snorted so much cocaine it caused him to have i believe it was a deviated septum , i think all i remember was he was in a lot of pain and had no way of explaining the cause of damage to his parents , he did stop however and seems to be doing well now , im really sorry about your pain and the reason for it i to have had issues with well i guess i can only explain it as self destruction but not on purpose its just something that takes time time to get a handle on and finally realize that you eventually have to weigh the risks is all that damage and pain worth the little "high" rush you get by snorting , Let mE apologize if is not a drug or high that "SUBS" are I'm just going of the little knowledge I've ever known of
