i don't think it is, at least i've never heard it was.  and you certainly don't get "high" from it, whatsoever.  at least i didn't, the short time i took it.  and it's neither a narcotic nor a benzo...

it's not a narcotic. I was given it in re-hab for RLS, but i have heard that many people are creating lawsuits from it. I can't quite remember what it did..something to do with stroke I believe

I don't think it is addicting, but it is an anticonvulsant and they warn that suddenly stopping the med is dangerous and could increase the frequency of seizures.  Dosage should be reduced gradually, so maybe it is physcially addicting...

WeeR138, did it help your RLS in re-hab?  and yes there is something about a lawsuit, just google it and you can find out the info.
