opana dilauded methadone
I'm writing this post because my boyfriend . I am aware that he is highly addicted to opana .. I'm not sure how much he takes but I'm.guessing a lot about 2 every few hours... I recently found out he is also taking dilauded. And has just started methadone. He told me that he is trying to wring himself off of the dilauded and opana by taking the methadone . However reading this I'm thinking I'm being nieve He told me that he started on a very low dose of Methadone. And that they will keep upping his dose until he's off the other 2. Then will stick to methadone for a while until he's ready for suboxone. I don't know anything about any of. These and I don't know how it works .. I'm hurting .. he's completely lost it. He doesn't remember anything any more. Nothing . I'm ready to walk put. But I'm scared to loose him for good .. I feel like if I leave it will get worse. and by staying I'm pushing him closer to rehab.. please help
HI after being on methadone for 6 1/2 yrs I got to say its no solution and he is only digging himself in deeper her shoud go threw a few days of withdrawals and go on the sub id he wants to be on a maintenance drug there still addicting but there is no high so it alows you time to straiten out your life threw aftercare once strong enough you can taper off the sub .....sub is a lot ezer to get off then mewthadone and many do well with a 90 day treatment just so he is going to consoling or meeting otherwise your just switching additions it combnation with a program many members have had good success talk to him about this and stay away from methadoneits an evil drug thats very hard to get ff off good luck and God bless.........Gnarly

Toradol is a non-narcotic and it works great. The only problem is its not for long term use as it causes kidney damage after prolonged use.
do a search for the na book online. they have it and its can be downloaded in pdf i read it and it makes since maybe he would read it to. i think for most addicts its taking that first step and if hes been there he knows that feeling of wd and detox and that is a scary thing and he probably doesnt want to go through that again.....but it is so worth it after its over!
i see people on here talking about toradol not sure how to spell it but thats how it looks. dont know anything about it other than what ive read on here and they said it was non narcotic do a search on here for it some swear by it and some dont. just be careful cause just like tramadol in ky its not a narcotic but it is a controlled substance in the state of ky. i was on it to and it messed my head up more than the strong stuff.
just make sure the toradol isnt a controlled substance if so stay away from it. in my opinion if its cs then its just as bad as narcotic! but that could be an option for his pain. if hes not willing to try something diff like non narcotic then hes doing it for the high! not the pain more than likely.

He's 25 years old he was addicted to.pills then to cocaine and heroin for.4 years thrown in jail for another two has been off heroin since he's beenn out which has been 2 years and has been taking the 2 opana and dilaudes. He's been in detox 2 times in the past 4 months and has been fine but says he in constant pain . I have tried to ask him what does he think.he.has to loose and just stays quite he's afraid of pain he wants to be with his fam for.Christmas (always an excuse for not enterig a rehab ) everyday since.Halloween (when he got out of.his 2 time in a detox) he
I completly understand as I starting taking oxys eight years ago after a severe spinal injury and several failed back surguries. I felt the same way, I thought I would be on pain meds for my entire life. I now have found alternative ways to control my pain. and after i got clean i dont hurt half as much actually! there is a lot of that in your head! everyone has pain and you know what i think about now when i get the pain? i think about the poor babies in this world that have cancer, or no food, or some other kind of illness and that kinda takes my pain away!

thats how mine started! it was all innocent. i went to the doc i have very sever back problems. i got a 120 lortab 7.5 a month after a couple months those 120 lasted me about a week! then i went to the streets and bought....WOW i DO NOT MISS MAKING RUNS AT ALL!! ACTUALLY I MISS NOTHING ABOUT IT!!
Another thing to.add is that he had chronic back pain . And he thinks.that no matter WHAT. He will always have to take a pain med. I agree that he probably will always be in pain however I think that taking anything along those lines after he possibly recovers is deffinatly not.safe . His doctor is the person who put this into his head.. that if he can control it he will be fine.. he told this to.an opiate addict.. wow

Sweetie until he's ready nothing is going to work! I wish I could tell you everything is going to be good, but we have no way of knowing that unless its the one quitting. Know what I mean? Its a long hard road to travel and alot of people that havent been on the side we are on doesnt have a clue as to what we think or feel. Just like the addict has no clue to what our loved ones feel for us when they know we are sick! I have no clue how my hubby feels about me being an addict. I know what he says but ive never been in his shoes on that side of the fence. My daddy was an addict and I know how that hurt but its not the same.
Can you tell me if he's scared to quit? As for what he is affraid hes gonna go through when the wd's hit? Is this his first ride with drugs? How old is he?

My hubby had no clue and i got busted from him when he found all the money problems, i racked up 15,000.00 pretty much on a cc and thats not counting all the cash i spent.
I got clean for a year and half, felt the best i had in a long time. Then 5 months ago i relapsed because i started hurting thought i could handle one or two.....Wrong! Once an addict always an addict! You cant even take that one or your right back! im going to try and add you as a friend ive never done that but then i can talk to you more and try and help you more....it can be done!

I have an idea why don't you ask him to come on to the forum and see that getting clean can be possible. I thought I would never be possible to get off oxys but I did and I am now 515 days clean.
Subsituting drugs is not figuring it out. If he thinks w/d from opana & dilauded will be bad, he is in for a special kind of hell trying to get off of methadone. It is probably the worse drug to detox from. There are members here that can attest to that. You should try to get him into rehab or at least go to an NA meeting. That is contingent on whether HE wants to get clean as only he can make that choice. I wish he and you much luck in getting sober and I will pray for both of you. God Bless---Rick
Thank you ! Im trying to help him but I feel like I've done it AOL, he lies about what he's taken he goes.to.different doctors . He forgets the things he tells me... Every single day he tells me that he's going to rehab and I cry and encourage it so much like please please let's do this ! But the next day he says he isn't ready.. I can't force him to do anything .. I feel helpless , and o know he's feeling the same . Because he tells me.. I just feel like I'm at a dead end and nothing is working so what do I do ? Any advice
I hate to put it this way but if you think you have no help, imagine what he feels like. Everyone that wants off that stuff wants help they just dont know how to ask for it. Some are ashamed, some fear, and some are just in denial!
I dont think replacing one drug for another is smart, if he really wants off them he can do it.....It hurts but it can be done! But then some can taper also. I could never taper, id always say I was gonna but ended up taking as much that day as I did the days before.
Every drug addict thinks they have it figured out! Thats called denial mostly! I had it figured out for a year, a year after that I still had it figured out! A year and a half after that I really had it figured out because I ended up in a rehab center after MY HUBBY FIGURED IT OUT! NOT ME! But I always had a plan to make it better. It never got better until someone that loves me and I love dearly figured it out for me!

Just try and hang in there he needs you, no addict can truely do it alone, even if its a dog that gets them through it, they need someone! We are worth hanging in there for! Wow you have a situation on your hands! Give him an ultimatum. Tell Jim if you don't stop ALL that your out of there! But be prepared to really go! We are all here for you! Good luck
I can't get him to do anything because he thinks he's got it figured out. And his family has given up. They have been trying to help..... I don't feel like I have any help what so ever. All I do is worry
He needs help! Is there any way you can get him on here to read about all the drugs he is taking? Can you get to his family?
