opiate wds

I am barely into day 3 of opiate withdrawals.I feel like ****. The rls is what is bugging me most, that and the no energy. I have been lucky enough to be able to sleep at night. I went through 165 5mg hydros in about 5 days and my last dose was Saturday night around 8 pm. I have been down this road countless times. I usually always go back. My cravings are really bad today. I can't stop thinking about that high. I just need some support right now.

Hi I agree with Kyle ....the desire to get clean must be greater then the desire to use the pills are just a symptom of the disease you have to treat it or it will come back to bit you in the a ss and mabe even kill you youir dose this last time has been enough to kill you just because your tolerant to shuch a high dose does not mean your liver wont shut down this is a life or death thing for you it is time to get clean once and for all this is not a game you can play you will wind up dead playing with the doses you are taking we have seen it happen here on the forum please for your sake it is time to quit once and for all aftercare is what works for most of us who have major clean time I go to severl N/A meetings a week and work the 12 steps....it works if you work it just try a few meetings you dont have to do this alone keep posting for support good luck and God bless.......................Gnarly.............................

Your right about the definition of insanity but (at least for me) it was doing the same thing over and over knowing darn good and well what the result would be.

I've read your posts and all I see is how great you think you feel on the pills, how you are craving them and how you've done this over and over again.
So why are you here? Why is this time different? Are you detoxing because you ran out?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. What is different this time? You have a girlfriend, and she wants to help, but (and I don't have to tell you this) she won't be able to make a dent in your addiction. You are the only one who has to decide to stop. So what have you done? Have you cut your sources? Told your secret? Gone to aftercare? Three simple steps; leave one out and you will relapse.
I really do wish you nothing but the best, but you are at a very dangerous stage right now, and if you don't start putting up roadblocks and planning your long term recovery, you will relapse.

I will agree with keith get some aftercare and cut your sources and tell your secret to friends and family so you can be held accountable this time. Get off the merry go round and lets make it stick. Where will pills lead you... jail, institutions and death. I have had two family members die this year from pills. One died yesterday so please do this for yourself you are worth it and life is worth living! I can promise that :)

I know right now it doesn't feel like it but just give it some time! You are worth it! That is awesome that your girlfriend is so supportive this is a battle and we need all of the support we can get. Thank you guys once again. I had to stop at my dads house and he is prescribed them. The urge to ask for one or to just go take a few was really hard. I love how I feel on them that's my main problem. I feel like I cab do anything. As if I am a better person to be around. I have been blasting music while I work. My ears are gonna be ringing when I take these head phones out. I have about 5 hours left of my 13 hour work day. I don't feel to bad if I am sitting down. I am just so weak. It ***** to have to move around. I have also noticed my emotions are all over the place. I keep thinking about the past and about the girl I am with now. She knows I am going through withdrawals and is very supportive. She just wants me to get clean. She knew I was doing drugs when she met me so she doesn't even know how I am sober. Kinda scary. I have been walking since day one so I think that has really helped out alot. I don't have any cash to buy any sort of supplements or vitamins other wise I would have. I am glad I have you guys to vent too.

And if you are at home take as hot of a bath or shower as you can stand.  It should be as absolutely hot as you can possibly stand.  It will make you feel like cringing but that's the point.  It will give you much needed relief.   I found myself multiple times during the day and night in scorching hot water to ease the suffering.  It works!   Good luck, but make sure you change your recovery this time.  It sounds like you keep repeating the same mistakes so try your best to do something different this time around okay?

Thank you guys for your words. I have done this at least 10 times before. I am just sick of always going through this when I run dry. Its a horrible cycle that never ends. I am trying to stay strong. I have had to work everyday while going through this. I have to do manual labor and that's what *****. I will check in when I can. Thank you all once again.

Here are some suggestions to treat RLS:

You need magnesium capsules twice per day-
Potassium in capsule form or via OJ and bananas-
Hyland's Restful Legs tablets (Walgreens/Walmart)-
Epsom salt in a very hot bath and soak-

Also, some moderate doses of DXM (found in cough syrup and cold meds) will help RLS and other symptoms. I don't always mention this because of it's abuse potential but it works...

Let us know how you're doing-

Hi also. Try to separate your physical feelings from your mental. Your mind is fine, its your body thats reacting. Your mind is not craving the high but only your body.
I know its not easy but very soon there will be a light at the end of the tunnel and youll be so thankfull that you did this.
Look at these wd,s not as something your going through but as a tool that will remind you later not to take them again.
