opiates withdrawel

Hi,
I am just out of rehab. I was chronic pain sufferer for 5 yrs.
I was heavy user of Diludid, oxycontin for 4 yrs. I was tapered in treatment with Suboxine. It has been 25 days I still feel very shaky, trouble sleeping, my head feels like it is going to explode.
Does anybody have any idea when I will start feeling better?
How long does this really take?

Good for you on 24 hrs!!  You have posted on a very very old thread here.  I'm sure you found it thru google or something...but the very best way to get some help and feedback on this forum is to go to the orange post a question button.....and repost (copy and paste if you're able) you're situation.
There are lots of people currently getting off suboxone...and you will get lots of feedback and support.  Hope you understand what I mean and will see you on the most recent of forum posts now.

Well I'm 24 yrs old..M...i have been taking pain pills for 8 yrs or longer..i would take about anything i could get my hands on hydro, oxy, roxy, perc, lorasets, i mean anything for pain almost..i have been on (prescribed) suboxen and i highly advise every user or anyone trying to recover to stay away from it..pills and suboxen just give you a false sense of happiness and satisfaction..but it IS NOT REAL..its just the drug(s) and dropping one drug for another is not the thing to do..trust..doesn't even make sense..hey i quit pills..but now i do suboxen..and trust me withdrawels from suboxen is so much worse..you'll think your dying..i have went with the cold turkey..haven't done anything in over 24 hrs now....any ?'s or comments just lemme know..

i just read ur post.u r NOT showing signs of addiction(mentally anyway)but u said u ran out early which means u r taking more than prescribed&u say u have run out early n the past as well.THAT IS A SIGN OF ADDICTION.U may want to really think about that because Ive never met someone who takes pills isnt addicted but overtakes them.Taking more than prescribed is a huge sign of an addict.U r n a odd predicament thoigh cause u hate the way u feel from taking them. This forum isnt set up to tell u what to take just to get u through w/o w/d TIL ur next script. We r addicts n recovery. We can offer lots of help and suggestions though. Also u may want to make a post on the pain management forum to see what others take&find other options for pain relief besides percs.Im surprised u take those&dnt get sick but vicodin does make u sick.Hydrocodone vs oxycodone everyones different.I couldnt take percs like I did lortabs(abuse the crap out of them lol)cause they gave me a stomach ache.

Add on to prev.....I've never exhibited addictive behavior in the past. Never with anything. And I can't take other opiates.  Morphine actually increases my migraines. I have had demarol shots w/ nausa meds to knock my butt out before but not much. Please see prev post and advise

I need help! Don't know how I can do both. I've always suffered migraines. Then in my early 20s began have severe chronic kidney desease as well. I've got pain tol like u would believe but in the past 4 years, I just haven't been able to fight it anymore. My migraines were from the time I woke to the time I slept. I am recently seperated which in many ways because it was a voilent situation, muc stress is removed. But new ones have been added! Like careing for 3 kids alone, working, and trying to go back to finish my degree. I don't sleep well & exhausted all the time from the pain and short tempered. I take percocets and the problem is I hate the way I feel on them but I've litterally tried EVERYTHING! Even natural meds. I've been taking the percs most of the past 4 years. I am scribed 10 mg but I always have them filled at 5mg.  I know these damn pills are affecting me in many areas. But just the couple days before I get a script, and I run out, its hell. The pain is unreal and I can't focus on anything. My migraines r unreal! U wouldn't believe what they do to me WITH meds. I can't take other things like vicoden. I hate that stuff and I puke and sleep w/ it. I have a neurotin script. I don't typically take cause I can't take both without getting too sleepy. But I'm thinking to try the neurotin to get me past withdrwels from these damn percs. I'm out today & due for script tomorrow. I don't want my script but I swear I don't know how to deal with the pain and certainly don't need withdrawels with it! I neeed help

I am only on day 1 c/t but my best friend quit a 5 year oxy addiction and he said it took him 3-4 months before he felt totally normal physically again.  He said when he got home from work all he could do for the first several months is sit and veg out.  Remember it takes a while to become an addict...it doesn't happen overnight and it will take a while for your body to recover and learn to function without the drugs.
Be patient and be proud of your success!!!!

I have been a user of opiates for over ten years.  I have tried cold turkey, rehab, methadone, and suboxine.  After rehab I made it 200 days and then relapsed.  About 110 days ago I went to a doctor and tried suboxen (spelling).  It saved my life.  Granted it made me see triple of everything and slur so bad nobody could understand me but it was my last hope and it worked.  I still get shaky and still get the urges but as for the withdrawal part I have a new found respect for suboxen.......I didn't have the withdrawal symptoms like the thousand of other things I have tried.  If I can do it anyone can do it....there isn't an opiate out there I didn't do and thank God I finally got my life back.  As a matter of fact I now have two beautiful twin girls.  My recommendation to anyone that is trying to quit or is still using......life is beautiful without it.  I overdosed twice and wake up each morning just thankful.  NA helps also!!!!! and a Sponser.
Anyone can email me at ***@**** if you have questions or just want to talk.
