opiates

Gosh I hate to complain, but my body is not doing to good since the c/t off the lortab it will be 90 days tomorrow.  I dont know but want to ask anyone else.  My head is still killing me like in the sinus area and behind my eyes, the eyes still blurry at times.  I tell you all this I am still struggling mainly with the head pressure.  I went to the E.N. T. doctor yesterday.  He says I need nose surgery.  Well I have known this for 20 years.  But since I stopped the lortab, I have had a major problem with sinus pressure and dizziness, I did not feel like this on the pills, although I have had sinus problems before.

Just wondering  about anyone else experiencing or have experienced pressure in there head around Eyes, cheekbone, and ears.  I am curretnly taking allegra 180mgs. since yesterday, thats what the doc. gave me.  Man i dont think I can take much more of the pain.  I just wonder if this is heightened since stopping the lortab.

Thank you to any info. about this. I guess the next step is a Cat-Scan of brain or face?

Hey Kim,

Sounds like allergy issues really...Is your Blood Pressure okay also?  Get a second opinion prior to sinus surgery from an ENT(ORL) doc.  CT is a good test for that it will tell you if deviated septum or other Maxillary issues.  Also have you had your eyes checked many time pressures in occular area can cause headaches and other issues.  Since you have been off for awhile sounds like something beyond meds....

Bad_Obsession makes a really good point kim - it's true, we don't really feel anything when we're on those pills do we?  And I believe I read somewhere that opiate use can "dry" you up so to speak, which can explain the dry throat feeling a lot of us addicts get, and the dry eyes as well.  I'm sure it's related to the pills.

And like I said to you earlier, I think you should think about having the procedure done.  There is no reason you should have to be living like this - and if the Dr. thinks he can help, I say go for it.  You are WORTH it - but you already know I feel that way about you right?  :)

Well...I know that hydrocodone does mess with your sinuses and ears.  Everytime I have quit...I get headaches and a runny nose and my ears clog up for some reason, but that is usually gone within a week or so.  Maybe the pain was always there, but becuase you were taking pain medication, you just couldn't feel it.  That's my best guess anyways.  What did the doc say about the pain and dizzyness?  I know the inner ear playes a big role in balance and dizzyness...
