oxy to percocet

oxy to percocet

I was told that 1 10mg oxy tablet was like 2 percocets, but my dr told me to quit taking the oxy during the day and to take 2 percocets instead, but Im definitely feeling that they arent equivalent.  Im shaky and nauseous.  Does anyone know why?

Since it was your Drs Orders... maybe you should call him and tell him you are feeling differently w/the new perscription.

If one is making you feel sick to your stomach he should be able to help you ....

Take Care

Well hydrocodone is a strong pain med, but Oxy is much, much stronger. Oxy is even stronger than Morphine on a two to three basis, so if you were taking say Oxy 20mgs Controlled Release, a generic version of Oxycontin, and you have to switch to Morphine, you have to take 30mgs of the Controlled Release morphine to hit and equivelent dosage. Hydrocodone has the same conversion rate, so the Oxy is much stronger.

You should question your doctor about this.

After WW2, the Bayer Aspirin company invented a wonder drug to cure Morphine addicts from the war.  What did they call it?

HEROIN!

Go figure.

I can tell you why you are feeling shaky and nauseated.  It is because Percocet is a MUCH stronger drug than Hydrocodone.  Two 10/325 percocets are like
6-8Hydrocodone 10 mg.  If you are not used to PErcs, they will make you VERY shaky, almost a gritty speedy type of nervous.  I don't know who your doctor is, and I am NOT a professional, just an experienced user.

One 10/325 percocet will light you up like 3-4 10 mg hydrocodone.  Percocet is a MUCH STRONGER analgesic narcotic.

HOW BOUT THIS ONE?

Percocet does nothing, 3x/day of 10/325mg but DULL my pain and (sorry but) I don't see how/why people get  a "high" or ANY (for that matter) psych benefit/addiction...it doesn't do ANYTHING to me psychologically and even for the pain (for which it is prescribed) it is semi-effective. They switched me to morphine tabs briefly and they were even worse.

I just wish I could afford an epidural...
