oxy withdrawl

I have been on 80 mg. Of oxy for a year now n quit cold turkey Friday night. I had no idea what I was in for. The muscle spasms , migriane followed by vomiting. Can't sleep so tried.  Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed  for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife. I can't say enough I had my fisrt full meal in a year and didn't even realize at first n we both cried she reads some of this forums to me when I cant see from all the shaking but please tell about Xanax n lunesta?

You should be so proud of yourself!  What an amazing wife you have too.  I think very soon you will be basking in the beauty of life with a clear head and a healthy body.

I would talk to the doc if I were you. You don't want to get into another addictive drug. Once thing the doctor can prescribe is clonidine which will ease the withdrawal a bit.

thank you I read ur profile u seem to be loving person. Should I not take the Xanax or inform my doc?

Everybody is different, but it is usually around 6 days. It WILL stop. Believe it or not, the Lunesta could be adding to the RLS. I know..that stinks.

Believe me, take hot baths. It really does work. Also, try a heating pad on your calves. I slept in a chair instead of the bad because laying down was a nightmare.

And again...push fluids.

thank you do u know how long the spasms and body pains last?my legs r raw from always moving n shaken I just want to sleep lunesta gave 4hrs. When I go back to work will I be the man I was over a year ago. Or sum mindless zombie?

Congrats on getting of the Oxy.

Be very careful of the Xanax. It is highly addictive and dangerous to come of off. I don't know much about Lunesta.

Hot baths. Soup. Crackers. Push fluids.
