oxycodone dependent

I never took any pain pills till 4.5 yrs ago. Got hurt on job. I have had 3 surgeries since. Need another one on left shoulder. I started taking half pill and gradually up to 6 10 mg a day. I was always told by several Dr don't worry about addictive if taking for pain. Well what lies. 14 days out of pain pills. Cold turkey withdrawal. After hell on earth 3rd night mom had 5 mg so I took one. Did this 3 nights. Than friends had Norco so last night took half of 10 mg.
My question is this a form of taper or what. I moved out of state I was in 6 weeks ago. So have no ins no Dr etc...
How long does this hell last. Oh I'm 55 if this helps.
Also have history of major heart issues. So chest now bothering me is just more of detox. Help. Don't know what to do or anything about this stuff. Thx for any help

Is different for everyone. The physical symptoms can last up to almost 30 days. That's not including getting your sleep cycle back on track and the anxiety and depression that comes with it. Those can last a little longer than a month. You are probably getting really close to feeling better. So just hang in there. You can do it

Maybe I explained it wrong. I had withdrawal after 12 hours of last oxycodone. It was hell getting better but still very hard. Day 15 today. Legs still bad.

Some people do become dependent on Norco, regardless of their need for them. It's a shame your doctors couldn't recognize that possibility. That said, if you hadn't taken any in 14 days and then started withdrawal...that is unusual. I know you said you don't have insurance but in light of your heart issues maybe you should go to an urgent care center, get an EKG. Do you have any chest pain, you said chest is bothering you...this is also not generally a detox problem. I think you should go get yourself checked with an EKG. I just think that starting detox after 14 days is too unusual to ignore, what with your heart issues. Good luck, God bless.
