oxycodone nightmare/ round 2

Hi again, went a week without taking percocet, withdrawl and all that.  I tried real hard but slipped up last night , I took vicodans and got my fix.  Now I feel like a total loser, a failure.  Wondering if I should just give up and just accept it :-(   I have every intention to quit and was doing good but why can't I resist? am I that weak? I'm beating myself up.  Will I have to go through the terrible withdrawls again by just one time use of vicodans? Thanks for well wishes, Rob.

I tried to come off drugs for 5 years and now I have been clean for 99 days. I had to get help. I went to a detox facility for 12 days then a six week outpatient drug education. I think you need something besides white knuckling, trust me that doesn't cut it man. It is a brain disease that will never be cured but can be in remission. I was taking, smoking, drinking everything I could get my hands on if I can stay clean anyone can stay clean ! Also turn the a** kicking machine off and please look into getting help with this or it will kill you!!

@monochrome73.... Look at this as a positive thing brother. Aren't you so tired of beating yourself up to hell? Us opiate addicts, thats all we do is pop pills knowing it is the wrong thing for us and we murder ourselves every single day with negativity it never ends does it? A say look at this in a good way meaning the golden question... WHAT MADE YOU RELAPSE? You see for me when I first relapsed it was simply out of boredom, so I had to fill that time. Dig deep down in you and find out why you relapsed and lets go from there. You can do this, it is not your fault my friend, its hard but you will get through all of this and you will be a stronger and wiser person with a beautiful character that emerged. Direct msg me if you want to get more personal. Good luck :)

STOP beating yourself up over your relapse, and take action!!!!  You cant turn the clock back, but you sure can start over.  I also had a relapse and many others on here did to, so now just take charge of yourself.  Don't give up, we are talking about your life here, you can't resist because you are an addict and our brains are so powerful and trick us, and no you are not weak.  Best of luck to you and remember today is a new day:)))
