oxycodone recovery

Have gotten addicted to oxycodone for about 10 months now.  When I called for a refill my doc would not refill the script.  This weekend and still I am going through withdrawal.  Today (3/4/08) makes day 5.  How long does this goes on?  Managed to sleep one night.  Seems night is the worst time for me. That is when I would wake up every 2 hours and take 2 until about 6:00 am.  My arms are crazy.  No sweating today.  Just sore arms.  After reading the topics here, I am hoping I don't have long to go. I keep wanting to go and see the doc, but my husband won't allow me to.  Probably just subconscious illy want to get more drugs.  This is the first time I've every went through withdrawal. I'm 52 and to old to be going through this.  Any advice?

Stay strong I am on day 6 from Hydrocodone and it does get better, you should be starting to feel better. I am feeling better with everyday the mental challenges are starting now for me I think I am over most of the physical. Stay here and post best wishes!

My daughter is going though oxy w/d.  I spent all last weekend on this site getting help and advise  It's day 5 for her today.  The restless legs / arms were really bad for a couple of days.  Yesterday, she had a really bad headache.  Now it's mostly fatigue and achiness.  Stay strong.  Good Luck

you will turn the corner soon.  usually the hard part gets a little better everyday starting around day 7.  the mental part last much longer.  keep reading the post and you will get an idea what to look for.
