hi and welcome, i should think its the withdrawals, you could get a check up to be sure, but it seems to be withdrawals, are you still taking just a lower dose? or are you planning to stop altogether? you have tapered down very quickly, perhaps you could tell us some more, best wishes ,

yes, tell us more ... i am not sure if "drastically reduced" means that you are still taking a small dose ... and it is not uncommon feeling this way during wds and if you are taking some pills you might be prolonging them

Good Question laurel453.......Are you still taking them and how many mg's?  You definitely are going through some form of withdrawal and that is the trade off with the taper method.  You lengthen the withdrawal symptoms but they are minimized by tapering use.....If you are already basically in full blown withdrawal you might as well flush the rest of your pills and go it cold turkey.....I am not as sensitive as some on this site.....I am a firm believer of Cold Turkey!!!!  If you have already tapered then you have done the best you could and now it is time to stop.  There are a lot of things you need to take ie....vitamins, protein shakes, antioxidants etc.....On the health pages you can find the Amino Therapy Protocol article which most on here have used many times.....The one thing you will have to accept is that for the next few days and up to a week or two you are not going to feel good.....If you drink a lot of water and follow the amino therapy protocol and take care of yourself you can get through the worst part of withdrawal (3-7 days) a lot easier and faster....Once you are over the rough part you will be well on your way towards feeling better.....Take it from me, I am 13.5 days sober and other than picking up a nasty cold I am feeling a lot better than I did during my first week.  Time will seem like it is at a stand still but each day you are closer to sobriety.....I am only 13.5 days sober but each day I feel more normal....My brain is SLOWLY starting to repair itself and I am really enjoying life without pills......It is kind of a relief not having to worry about getting, paying, saving, or rationing pills anymore.  I do not have to worry about police, wife catching me, or anything!  Keep posting and good luck!
