Thanks so much...I am going to try that right now...Do you know how long it takes for full withdrawal symptoms to go away?
Look into getting Natural Calm with calcium. I use iHerb dot com. It will help with RLS. Also heating pads and hot baths with Epsom salts. 1-2 cups.
I have been clean for 30 days now and my legs (mostly in my lower legs and feet) are driving me crazy. I dont ever sleep and if I do its a couple of hours here and there. When will the restless legs go away?
can someone answer this for me? everything has a medecine smell to it. is it me or what?
14 days, and i'm thinking mine is about over... i hate to even think it's gonna take that long. my energy is up but i can tell my body is missing something. it's time to go "xbox live" so i can forget the situation.
The sleeplessness has been very hard for me too, and, the restless legs, OMG I just wanted to cut them off! But, today is day 14 for me and I just wanted to let you know that for the last 2 nights I have been able to get good sleep, and no more RLS. It does come. Hang in there.
well, i'm back from my walk... it's been a long X and now i feel worn out but i'm not hurting so bad. this is the first day i've actually felt like doing anything but sitting around. i couldn't lay because my head is so sensitive (feels like the pillow and covers are pulling hairs from my head).
one good thing about video games (xbox, etc.), they take your mind off the situation.
i've also learned to control the sweats by thnking to myself this is how i should feel, this is normal for me right now and they go away very quickly... peace, love and thanks
oh i am, 6 days today. i've made my mind up... i am done!!! the opana made me quit because it did not relieve any pain for me and i am too proud to beg for the differ. Get this though, my pain is no where near the pain i was having a week ago and last night, i finally got about 5 hrs of sleep on an ambien though. the day will come and that will go as well. life for me is already looking up. I'm getting ready to walk on the treadmeal for awhile to try to increase my energy. Oh yea guys, thanks about the anti diarrhea meds. my squirts have left the building for now. lol
You need to be off all opiates for the withdrawals to end.
You should be on the downhill side. I know it's rough. You're doing good. Really. Be sure to keep up the fluids.
You did not answer me on the Opana. Why are you taking?
when the diarrhea ends and the sweats subside, is it over or the worst is yet to come?
i'm sorry if i didn't make my self clear, the opana was to substitute the oxy. it didn't relieve the pain and i began the withdrawals... that's really what made me quit anyway.
You are experiencing normal things. Drink lots of water to help those toxins out. If you can do some deep breaths. slowly inhaling and exhaling. Your blood pressure could be climbing. I am not sure about the other body part. Could be high blood pressure. If this continues, go to the Dr.
What are you taking the Opana for? Isn't it in the opiate family?
thks 4 the remarks and quick responses... my real big problem is not sleep'g, it's been two days and last night i wanted to sleep so bad that i had taken two tylenol pm's along with an ambien cr. two days, da$%! i don't really feel sleepy but i'm so use to getting more rest than i need. i don't even want to talk about the restly night, legs everywhere. i had to get out of the bed so my wife could rest. oh yea, and erections that are so hard it hurts. i know this could b a good thing but they are mostly at the wrong time of day. the hot baths works well for the sweats and they are not as frequent (once or twice a day for about 30 seconds or so). i did mention taken that opana, thats all i smell (from my body) and it makes my stomach turn.
Get Immodium or generic for the runs. Eat lots of bananas for the potassium and they help to constipate. Look in my journals for the Thomas recipe. There are other helps in there for you. Drink lots of fluids, water Gatorade. Use Immodium for the comfort factor only. The runs is one way the body detoxes. Walking was mentioned and it helps too. You have done very well on quitting! What you have done is awesome.
Things should start to settle down. I would even expect tomorrow will be better. Hang in there. Keep posting too.We all can help you through this.
Hopefully someone that knows more about Oxy will respond - I was on Vicodin and it was about 15 days before the pain of wothdrawal went away. I had muscle aches mostly, and I was so sad. I think that made my body hurt more. But you can get through this. Sleep as much as you can, and try short walks. Moving really helps to get the kinks out.
