pain pill withdrawal

I have a son that is addicted to i think they call them Roxies. My question is if they are getting off what are the withdrawals like? My son keeps telling me he is getting off them and he needs help money wise, when i ask him to tell me about his withdrawals, he just says he pees all over him self is that normal for withdrawal? I think he is just Bsing me to get more money for pills that he pays $15.00 a piece for on the street. I have not heard of that happening from withdrawals until now.

Sandy,

Your son is BSing you because he doesn't want to go into actual withdrawal.
Go thru some Oxy related threads here. You'll see the horror but quitting is possible.
Don't enable your boy. Educate yourself aboput the drug first. Keep posting questions and read the forum. You'll see.....Best of luck and it's great that you love your son enough to care w/o throwing your hands up in dismay.........

Thats a first. I do have to say. I wont say that doesnt happen. What makes sense is him getting so high he pees himself. If hes up and about not acting like much is wrong hes not wd. I cant get out of bed for like 2 days. The list of wd symptoms is very long but peeing yourself is not on the list. Before you give anymore money. Id like to say dont give him more money that wont happen. Make him read some of stories people post of here. Dont just give your money away, make him earn it. He just might learn something. Ive battled a roxi addiction for a year and still continue to. Im clean today. Ive only got 3 days clean so I cant talk much but those first 3 days are pretty hard.

Oh dont give up on him! I dont want to scare you but this drug is hard to quit. His same friends around. Up all night. Looks weird. Sleeps forever. Good signs hes using.

sandy,
how old is your son ? definitely bsing you. tell your son that  you love him and you know that he isn't go through withdrawal. he would be physically sick.throwing up,shaking, stomach issues, not eating or sleeping, very anxious. please don't give him any more money to support his habit. you need to come up with a tough love program.
i had my son arrested and sent my son to a rehab when he was 17.it was one of the hardest things i ever had to do. i know it saved his life. he hated me then but eventually told me it saved his life. 7 years later he has friends who overdosed and died and also has friends who have spent lots of time in jail.
be strong.
god bless
