Pain and withdrawal go hand in hand, along with many other symtpoms

boy, we would all like to have the answer to that one.

You don't. You have to really really want sobriety more than anything. Depending on what dose you are doing also will depend on the length and strength of the WD symptoms. Hope you do well! Look up the Thomas Recipe on here, it will help. Best of luck to you!

Thats the million dollar question my friend. If you find the answer to that you will have to fill us all in.Most addicts continue to use for as long as we do,once addiction has totally destroyed our lives, because of that overwhelming fear of w/d.There is no painless way to do it.There are ways to try and lessen the severity of w/ds by tapering or with comfort meds or the combination of both, but painless and w/d are two words not used in the same sentence. However, although w/ds are not painless, they will not kill you, they don't last forever, and they are totally doable, and life on the other side of addiction is so worth a few days or even weeks of feeling like you have the super flu.Don't let that fear stop you my friend.Just like many of us here, you can do this, and you don't have to do it alone. We will all be here to help you. Please keep posting. All the best...Kim

The only way I know of besides simply going cold turkey is to titer down (reduce the dose over time) slowly under medical supervision.
