hey.   guys.  I know its been a while.  I need your help.  I am on day 2 c\t  I have been reading and reading but I have not seen anything about severe vomiting.  I woke up the other day and literally thre up from 8am until 10 am today.   The nausea was overwhelming.  Even a sip of water made me vommit and heave profusely.  I had the cold sweats and all that it is just that rather than a belly ache.  I had the vomitting.  It was so bad I went to the hospital for an I.v because I was so dehydrated.  Someone please tell me if this is normal.

I don't think so and you should be in the hospital with that much vomiting. You have to be severely dehydrated. I am shocked that they sent you home. Please go back if you are still vomiting.

It was just what I went through. Use warm flat (let it sit out open) 7-up for a drink. Use emetrol (walgreen's) for the vomiting. Immodium for loose stools - try gatorade or pedialyte to drink when it stays down. Yogurt smoothy type drinks worked for me after a while  - hot/warm baths or showers are good. A heating pad on the abdomin (abdomen) will do some good. Heating pad on the leg if you have RLS......keep posting here with questions and just read through the forum for knowledge......check the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acid Protocol for tips - they work - good luck

Do you know how to check your state of hydration by pinching the skin web between thumb and forefinger? Ask your Doc to teach you if you are on good terms with him. I used to able to check myself in to the outpatient IV fluid therapy place when necessary...

If the over the counter stuff don't work, you can get an RX of Reglan. it works great. it will also help with the sleep. Sounds bad. Maybe you have a bug on top of the w/d's.. I would go back to hospital to, if it does not get any better..

Good luck.     Ho, and try ice pack on the back of the neck, or very cold rags. it really works..

Taking any perc's right now is a mistake unless you wish to establish a taper and go that direction - it will just set you back again......

a friend told me to pinch the skin and if it takes a long time to turn back  i am dehydrated.  My husband has been force feeding me water apple juice and ensure (not at once)  every 15 mins a few sips.  It has not been about  2 hours since vomited.  I dont know if it was the ematrol or the pot or both but it helped a lot

Apple juice might be a problem if you experience a loose stool - and most do when quiting - white grape juice is best - any grape is ok - cranberry is fine - just stay away from the citrus for awhile - keep asking if you have questions -
