Percocet is Oxycodone and Vicodin ES is Hydrocodone. Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone

I told my Dr I wanted to wean off the Vicodin ES I am on, and he prescibed me 30 oxycodone??? I don't get it.

How many Vicodin ES's were you taking daily, and what strength are they? What are the Oxy strengths?
