The first week is the roughest. Going thru withdrawls stink. tell yourself your body is resetting itself. and youve got the flu. youll be feeling better in a few days. this too will pass.

Just start cleaning house; pick up an item or two. You may feel like doing more and it'll take your mind of the DT. The sadness and depression are perfectly normal. Your brain has been artifically stimulated for a long time and it will need to get back on track and produce it's own happy chemicals.

Great decision to quit and you've made the biggest step so far. There is a ton of advice on here that is great. What worked best for me was Mucinex DM so I would sleep through the worst parts.Don't look too far ahead and stay on track. Post as often as needed!

Hi bubbles. Congratulations on day 2! It would help a little if we knew what you were taking and how much? But there is the Thomas recipe at the bottom right of this page. People swear it helps. I didn't find it til about day 2. Imodium helps tons. Not just with the bathroom issues, but for the cramping too. Stay hydrated. Gatorade, boost, ensure, that kind if thing. Eat when you can. As crazy as it sounds, exercise. Even a walk helps. I know you don't feel like it, but it makes a difference. Lots of hot showers or baths help with the creepy crawlies. There is an otc med called hylands restful legs. That helps too. For me the worst was day 3-4 then eased from there. Hang in there! You can do this!
