I like so many am not good at praying. I sure have been praying a lot over the past couple of days for Bkitty, though. I am new here and did not know her very well. We are all connected though, all of us wounded warriors. My heart goes out to her husband and sister as well as her furry friends at home. You guys all please take care of yourselves and I am hoping and praying for a full, speedy recovery for Bkitty, and peace and limited bs for yourselves.

My continued prayers are with Bkitty and her family. Her husband are sister are simply amazing!  I pray for a full recovery and for Bkitty to realize how important she is to many and how blessed she is to have such a close sister and a very supportive husband. Like we all know, this addiction can take even the best into those dark caves. I believe this community knows better than any doctor or friend that has not experienced what all of us have. A challenge everyday but this site has saved so many that I wished we could measure those numbers. My love and prayers to the kitty family!

Sorry I am late to this post, I am not here as frequently as I would like. Bkitty has been a huge presence and support to so many here, as is evident from the outpouring of concern from us all. My heart breaks for her that she was in such a dark place, and for your family that you are going through this now. I am thinking of you all, and sending healing vibes for a speedy recovery. Thank you so much for keeping us updated, it is clear how very much you love her.

PS. Her mom sounds like a psycho. Since you are the spouse, you are the next of kin, and her mom should not have any authority. I am sorry she is making the situation even more difficult.

Thanks for the update Tony..I am wondering the same thing as NurseGirl..You are the Husband..How in the Heck is the Mom getting all the Control..Maybe I am misunderstanding it..But from what I have read it sounds like she needs to step aside and let You & Kitty have some time alone.My prayers still go out there..You are being the best Husband you can be and do not let any body knock you down! Thank you to you and your wife for your service to this country.  I can just feel the love you have for your wife, even in her darkest hour, and I have nothing but respect for that. My husband loved and supported me the same way you and bkittys husband supported your spouses during the darkest hours and I have nothing but the utmost respect for those who can forgive and support when when the chips are down. Thank all of you wonderful spouses...husbands and wives... Who have helped us addicts when we needed you the most...to know we have unwavering support in a very wavering  world of addiction is indescribable. Tony, please stay strong. There was a previous poster saying they had the same experience and are now 4 years sober....she will be ok, and so will you  stay strong and positive....for her and for you.

I've been thinking of you, Kim and of course Bkitty all day today. I've been asking the man upstairs for all sorts of things for you all as individuals and family. I know he hears all of our prayers and we cannot be ignored. Thank you Tony and Kim for the updates. I do agree like some of the others say, please make sure you get enough rest and make sure to eat something too. Bkitty will need you guys to be strong and ready to take care of her. My best wishes to Bkitty, you and Kim (and Bkitty's dad it seems).

Concentrate on getting her better and keep this in mind, you may never find the Whole Why of this.  You may only find the generalities of what led to this drastic action on her part.

I have been to the edge of that Dark Abyss, had one foot over the edge, but luckily drew back due to certain things in my personal make up.  My dear sweet wife has been there, and had to be pulled back, several times.  My best friend in the whole wide world, I had to pull him back, too.

If she is ever ready to tell you, she will.

My wife was out of work for 15 years due to service connected disabilities, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  She has never told me the full story of what happened to cause this (and the attendant depression, anxiety, insomnia, self hurt and all), and we have been together over 35 years total.

For many years she would not even leave the house to get the mail from the curbside box... Now, she is back doing what she did as an officer in the USAF...helping to develop improved aircraft for our brave men and women in uniform.

Your wife has a gift, intelligent empathy for the troubles of others.  A beautiful, caring heart, which has been a light for me on many days.

I'll tell you plain, I've had to be a very hard man at times, I've killed in the line of duty (I'm a veteran, too).

But, put me in close proximity to a dog, cat or child, uncle Pip is a mush ball.

Your wife's words have had that ability to bring out the caring that lurks inside my heart.

You are a lucky man to have her and I am sure (from the words I have read these past many hours) that you know and appreciate this, just as I appreciate how very lucky I am to have my own Anita in my life.

Take care of her, AND you, Tony.

This will leave scars.  When you look back, your heart will swell with pride.

Thanks both of you so much for the updates.  I'm so glad to hear how well she is communicating, that's an awesome sign!

I don't mean to pry, but what did her mother do that she somehow has all of this control there?  YOU are her next of kin as her spouse, and YOU should be calling the shots, 100%!!!  You need to fight whatever her Mom is trying to pull.  There is evidence from bkitty's own posts about how much stress her mother causes her.  PLEASE do whatever you can to stop whatever her Mom is doing.  Unless she got some kind of restraining order,  or has a medical POA which bkitty put into place...I don't believe she has ANY legal right to call the shots with the visitation.  Talk to a lawyer if you have to.  YOU should be the one making any and ALL decisions about her care, visitors, etc.

SO sorry you're going through all of this.  Your dear sweet wife has been in my prayers since I found out.  She has a heart of gold...tell her how much she's loved and appreciated.  I can only IMAGINE how loved and appreciated she is in PERSON.

Love to you bkitty...stay strong sweetie...you WILL get through this and come out stronger than ever.  This was your cry for help doll...and we've ALL heard it loud and clear.  You don't have to be strong and a super hero all the time....you're going to lean on others from now on, you hear?  You've got a LONG line of people waiting to be leaned on.

There has been no changes either way. she is resting calm. lots of family and visitors no one read the facebook update of immediate family only it seems. I will be leaving for a few hours her mother finally left and will be back out tomm sometime. quiet day.

For what its worth - I did survive an OD just like you describe. Ventilator, liver, renal- - the whole nine yards. Today I am going somewhere around four years sober and dont seem to have any lasting after effects from the experience. Actually - in some weird way -  it may even help me remain straight today. Something to think about........best wishes and prayers will be with both of you.

I am so sorry this is happening! Bkitty I really hope u are ok. I have been praying for u since I saw what happened. I have to admit it scared the sh!t out of me . You are always there for all of us when we need u, please kno that we are all here for u! I am also praying for ur family bc they need u in their lives and I'm sure love u more than u can imagine! Tony here. Not much to report hasn't been really any changes her liver enzyme numbers are slowly going down she has been what they call "bucking" the ventilator so they are going to start turning that down slowly to get her off of it I got some sleep finally after I got her cat calmed down. I will be starting daily journals on my profile so you can follow her road to recovery from this Does anyone know why they deactivated her account? the doctor mentioned the psychiatrist may want to review her journal entries as well as the police im thinking it was a privacy issue maybe my intention was not to invade her privacy was just trying to figure out all that happened that lead up to this point of her trying to take her life that was all.i was not trying to invade anyone elses privacy on here either im sorry if you felt that I did. im still figuring this out we was going to start a carepage for her but to read her journal entries its asks for personal information like your name and email address her sis and I talked and feel that its best to keep to this page and facebook for privacy reasons. ill start the journal entries sometime today her dad is in with her now reading to her we are not allowed to stay at the bedside no longer because her mom threw a fit last night but the nurse that works tonite said she would sneak me in there. see all of you later thanks again for all the support prayers and well wishes it means alot to me and my wife
