question about clonidine

Hi,  I've been taking clonidine for the last week, just at bedtime, they are the 0.1mg tablets,  I haven't taken any since Thursday night...I've had a super bad headache & was wondering if it could be from not taking the clonidine???...it scares me to take it at all BC I always have low BP, but the Dr said it would be ok...I'm getting desperate to get rid of this headache so should I take one??...I've tried everything else & NOTHING has helped...thanks guys, you're the best!! xo :)

Thanks clean in KS & Vic...I'm going to try & just think like u said Vic & tell myself its just the brain trying to reconnect!..LOL..I don't drink any caffeine, I love water!...but I STILL have NO appetite whatsoever!!...everybody says they get so hungry after day 3 or 4, its been almost 2wks & I've barely ate!!..when I go out for a walk, I spend the whole pulling up my pants!..LOL...this just s**cks!!!  I'm soooooo tired of pain!!!..I mean what do u do when u were taking the pills for real pain!?...BC if this is how its going to be, I'll probably have to go back on them, & I soooooo don't want to!!!...I took them for IC, which is an extremely BAD bladder thing!!...the Dr's say there's nothing they've found that works yet for IC, all they can do is just help u manage the pain...hey Barb if u read this, I know u have IC, will u PM me on what u do to manage yours??...thanks guys!!...u always make me feel better!  xxoo :)

Very True..Caffeine and Sugar also can cause Paws to kick in but for you that will be down the line a bit..I got headaches for awhile after I had almost a month in..I could only take the BPmed at night and only for about a couple of weeks. Remember Teri, the Brain is trying to balance out and who knows how wild those Transmitters or Chems etc, are going right now. I accepted the Headaches as part of the Healing..They did not last long at all..But I know I am still trying to balance out.HA! I think I am getting there..lol

Hey Teri.....I'm a low blood pressure person, too.  I did the clonodine, too but had so much else going on I couldn't tell you if it helped or didn't help.
I was dizzy and weak every time I got up from a "down" position (lol) and it lasted awhile.  One other thing, many months back, a newbie came on and asked about her headaches....she had cut out her Pepsi when she quit the pills....and as soon as she allowed herself a "bit" of caffeine....her headaches subsided.  Just a thought~

Thanks guys!...I ended up taking the clonidine & it seemed like it made me feel worse!!!...I'm so shaky & STILL have a massive headache! :(  probably just related 2 the stupid pills I'm sure!!...ugh I HATE headaches!!...& no Ang, I don't have anyway to take my BP...I'm just not taking no more of that clonidine crap...I almost pass out when I get up!!...thanks again sweet girls! xo

It is possible that you are having rebound hypertension. Sometimes with the blood pressure meds, when you quit taking them your blood pressure spikes.(Usually it happens after longer term use than a week, but it's hard to say.) Detox can also make your BP spike and high BP can cause massive headaches. It could also be a lot of other stuff too. I had low BP during detox and still had the worst headache. Is there any way you can check your BP? If not, just be sure to drink plenty of fluids and try to take it easy. I hope you feel better soon girl!

I am sorry you feel bad. I don't see what it would hurt; however, right after I detoxed I experienced quite a few headaches. I hope you feel better soon ( hugs)
