question about pharm and my story

hello everybody, this is my first time posting on this forem i have been reading the posts for a couple of weeks.my story is i was working as a plumber on a job on nov 17 04 i was walking up a staircase and it callapsed i fell and broke my back one second im working the next im in a helicopter heading to boston ma there i had 5 vertabra fuision.i was put on percacet oxycontin. in jan 2007 i had my second surgury. it has been a living hell for me and my family i have severe deppresion chronic pain feeling like i dont want to live no more i have seen therapists been on many antidepressants also started using crack cocaine for the first time; that i have not touched in over 6 months i was on a self destructive path . my wife threw me out of our house and would not let me back until i went to rehab which i did.in my past i was a pothead occasional powder cocaine user.now i am addicted/deppendant on opiods every time i try to taper my meds i end up getting severe pain and want that warm fuzzy feeling so i call for another script o so easy.i am worried what these pills are doing to my health.i am taking 200 percs 60 20mg a month some times more oxycontin .my question is i have been using two pharmacies with my workerscomp and my health insr to get double the amount of the ocs with the proper scripts from the same ortho since my second surgery. yesterday the pharm found out and would not fill it till the 12th have i been red flagged.are they going to contact my ortho.maybe its a sign to stop but my pain is sometimes unberable now my wife holds my pills and i am trying to take them as rx sorry to ramble on.

Welcome to the forum.  You did the right thing by posting. There is a wealth of love, empathy, and knowledge on this forum.  How many oxys or percs do you have right now?  Do you have enough to go on some type of tapering plan?  ALso, what if you just explained to your dr that you are still in pain and if theres a way to help you.
I don't know about the red flag procedure in pharmacies but perhaps some of our members with experience will post soon.  It must be so difficult when the pain is so strong.  Please keep posting and let us know how its going.  We all want to live drug free lives and it is so nice to have each other for support.

my ortho was giving me 60 20mg of oc 1 pill every 12 hours a 30 day supply that would last 2 weeks then i would call for another script and he would send it.now i would alternate between 2 differant pharmacies with my workers comp insr and my health insr this went on for the past 3 months til one of the pharms caught it. hope that explains it better
