Lost my bestfriend last night to an OD.....I was 3 days off pills (OCs, Deloudids, and Rococets)  But Im extremely depressed, and took some colonapin (however you spell it) is this going to mess up my 3 days clean?  I couldnt help it, My world is so crazy right now.  Its hard to stay focussed on getting better when my friend just died....I dont know what to do

Im so sorry to hear about your friend. Please think about yourself and keep yourself clean so you know that wont happen to you. I remember reading Heath Legertons obit and thinking I had mixed those same pills myself. I see that many people's docs here have prescribed clonopin for w/d's so it seems common. I'm glad that you came here to ask instead of just taking them, that means to me that you are serious about your sobriety. Hang in there, I know right now must be a nightmare to deal with w/d, but really no time is ever really a "good time" for w/d's is it?

be careful you can od on klonopins too, I know first hand I had taken like 20 when I was 15 in a suicide attempt. getting your stomach pumped is no fun.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my older sister a couple of years ago and know how difficult it can be to lose someone you love. Just stick to your plan of getting clean. You are doing great! Best of luck to you.

I'm sorry about your friend but if anything worthwhile comes of this horrible tragedy it's knowing that life is too short and accidents happen.
Please, if you have an addiction problem, stay away from the klonopin.  You're in a depressed state and it will be quite easy for you to justify taking more than you should.
You're almost out of the woods.  Don't go back.  Look forward.  Your friend would want that for you.

i agree with girlybuff. klonopin are a benzo and i understand they are harder to w/d from. use them as you are prescribed , but watch them over the long haul. I am saying prayers for your friend, God has called them home. no more suffering with addiction, just the joy that we are all promised in the after life. like you , i have had many friends die while using. becuase im a coke addict, probably a little higher count. but the hardest was when my best boi blew his heart up while sitting on our couch! i know how you feel, but like it was said, use this as a lesson of why you want to take control of your life back. many, many prayers and much love....

monkey, i am so sorry you are suffering.. please do not let this get you down.  i understand greiving,  and i know you friend would tell you dont use.  sweetie use the klonopin only when you have to.  get through this and keep moving forward.  dont stop til you are free.  you can do this for you and your freind.
