Good decision you have made to quit. W/D lasts around 3-5 days, at least the physical part. there can be cravings and lack of energy. Know that this is all normal. Look in the Health Pages (near the top rt) for the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acid Protocols. Exercise will help too. It kick starts the endorphins and also helps get the toxons out faster. Drink lots of water, keep Immodium handy and take Epsom Slt baths for the muscles. You can do this.

Hey there brother,

Hang in there...you will be through the worst of the initail w/d's in less than 1 day...if you have gone 3 days already..

You have a great thing going for you...and that your count was at 3-5 a day. Your making the best desicions of your life right now...I now quitting a 4 month norco addiction at 5 a day is not fun...but its great your doing it now, rather than latter...because with time...the count only continues to go up...

I remember about 1 year ago...I was down to 4 hydros a day...and stayed there...and then they slowly creept up and up...until I was taking 18-20 hydros a day..and c/t them 47 days ago...and so glad I did...but kind of wish I would have done it at 4 a day last year...then maybe I wouldnt have lost so much..

Your doing GREAT brother, and your almost through the initial hell part of w/d's....and we are all here for you!

God Bless you, and keep posting!
Todd

Thanks. :-)  You're braver than me.  I didn't have the nerve to c/t.  I had enough to taper so that's what I decided to do.  IF I run out before I'm totally tapered off I guess I'll c/t because I'm not going to get any more either.  I had tapered last week from 10 (or 12) to 4, but lost it and went back up over the week end.  So, SO stupid.  However, I looked at what I had left and thought it's now or never.....so it's NOW.  The anxiety is the worst thing for me too!  But....I CAN do this and so can you!...it can only get better.

Hang in there.  I'm tapering (fairly quickly...didn't have the guts to c/t) and I feel really bad too.  I feel like there's a cat loose in my body, my feet hurt from walking from room to room all day for two days--morning to night, I can't sit down, I can't lay down, I can't sleep...it's rough....BUT....from reading these posts I KNOW it'll get better.  I have read that days 3 and 4 might be the worst.  I have been drinking a lot of water, taking hot baths, eating protein, taking vitamins (and hanging on by my fingernails...lol).  It WILL get better!  You weren't taking a huge amount so you should be fine soon.  Just hang in there!  Good luck!

Hey there!  Sorry that you are feeling bad, but it's great that you are not on the pills anymore!  You have come to the right place for some help.  I don't have much experience, just my own.  Your body is going through detox right now and you probably feel like you have the flu.  It only lasted for me for about 3 days.  It ***** right now for you, but it will get better.  Just get lots of rest, drink lots of fluids.  Take some immodium for the loose stool and try and take some vitamins.  My worst part of detox was the no sleep.  It took me a long time to fall asleep.  Try and take a hot bath, maybe take some tylenol PM to help if you are having trouble sleeping.  I'm on day 8 off of a four year oxy habbit and I am feeling a lot better.  Physically I'm better, it's just the mental part for me.  You can get through this.  I hope I have been a bit of help.  I'm sure there are more people out here that will give you some more advice and I hope it will work for you.  Stay strong and take it day by day!  Get well!
