quitinoxys is now 100 days clean hoohoo!!!

Hello All:
I hit 100 days clean from oxys today and it feels great!!! I sorry I haven't been posting for a while but I became involved in a counseling group for chronic pain suffered addicted to pain meds. My therapist got me involved in the group 3 months ago and I really now have a deeper understanding of my addiction/dependance. I am now helping people who are where I was 100 days ago and it is a great feeling to be able to tell people that it can be done. It has been a long hard road but I now know I will stay on that road to sobriety. I also encourage all in the group to come on to this forum as it was all of you that helped me through roughest time of my life. So I would like to THANK YOU TO ALL. In addition I have been going to yoga and acupuncture to relieve my pain, which unfortunatley I still have pain but I now just push through it instead reaching for that bottle of pills. God Bless all of you wonderful people and to all of you that are starting out on this journey to sobriety I wish you success and please stay on that road and you will make I promise----quitin

Thanks to all for the accolades; I wouldn't have been able to do it without all of your GREAT support. All of you should be proud of yourselves for the amazing help that you provide to people as myself. My success is your success. I am sorry to here of the rise in relapses and I will keep posting to let people know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have learned a great deal about myself and my addiction through aftercare and want to tell all of you that have fallen you have to get back up and try try again. Aftercare is essential in staying on the road to sobriety so all please take that step. God bless you all and I will pray that God guides you on your journey---Peace & Love quitin

I'm real happy to hear this quitin. When you first came here you were struggling extremely hard and somehow kept up with some outside responsiblities the last I remember in the midst of some of the worst days..You truly are proof for the dis-believers that things won't get better that they are wrong. You sound great!

Hey we all get weak at times and slip the thing is to get back on the road and try again. I was at 28 days clean from oxys when I couldn't deal with the pain (or my brain made me believe i couldn't) and I took a pill. If I had not done that I would be at 128 days but whos counting LOL. So stay on that road to sobriety you will really appreciate having you life back. Good luck and I will pray for you.

I am so glad that you are going for it and Congrats on 6 days. Remember you have to do it one day at a time. There are chronic pain groups such as ours all over the country you may want to get into one of them. They have been a godsend for me. I wish you luck on staying on the road to sobriety and I will pray for you. I know you can make it so keep on keepin on-quitin

Hi I just finished posting when I read your post. Its exactly what I needed to read as I am currently just finishing my 6th day clean from opiates and painkillers and heading into the 7th, but last night I was in so much spinal back pain I couldnt sleep at all, and it discouraged me just when I was thinking how good it was that the worst of the w/d's was easing, not going away but down to managing. Its good to know that there are other addicts who got this way through physical pain and that there are other ways to deal with that pain after we have come through c/t and detox. I feel like crap still, as well as physical pain, but if you were the same and after 100 days are able to effectivley manage that pain and still feel great. This is my second time around. I was clean about 15 years, but that first time I didnt have to deal with chronic pain when I got through the other end of detox. Thank you for giving me hope that I can still make it.........cheers Christine
