rapid detox has recently come under fire due to some facilities being unregulated and not adhering to safety measures. The Waismann Method is vastly different than any other rapid detox treatments because of their high safety protocols.
1) they perform in-patient in the ICU of a JCAHO accredited full service hospital.
2) they use sedation, not anesthesia
3) unlike other detox facilities that place patients under for 4-8 hours (which increases risk to patient), the Waismann Method procedure is from 60-90 minutes.
4) after the procedure they do NOT send you to a hotel under the care of friend or family member. Instead you are sent to a transitional environment where you're under the professional care of trained staff who know how to supervise post-detox patients.
I know someone who did it.....you have to be in withdrawals before you can start suboxone.....they put you under and give you a drug so that you can immediately start the suboxone...it is very expensive and only thing you are saving yourself is a couple days of withdrawals...have heard it is a big money maker...she relapsed by the way...but is clean now and went CT to do it...dont know...cost her 10 grand when it was all said and done to do the rapid detox
I am not too well informed about this. The old saying,"If it sounds too good to be true.."
If it is expensive, suggest Suboxone. At least it has a good track record.
