Do Get the Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium & Ds..These will help relax the muscles as well. I always get mine all natural and from a very good source, But vit/min take time to kick in..Right now go to Walmart and pick up a box that says ELECTRO MIX..These come in packets you can add to water and it has Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Chromium and such..You can add this to your water..Also pick up the Emergen-C Joint Health..This has some good things in it too..Look at all of them and pick out some that have the vit/min to help build your system up. Even look at some of the packet Bs and such. Make sure you are eating very Healthy and do try to get out in the Sun. The Sun, Exercise and Music helps fire up those happy chems/hormones in our brain that are knocked down during our drug use. I wish you the best and each day will get better.

Hi there!

Thank you for the update!

Yes, it's so strange how detox ebbs & flows. If you manage to get a little sleep (which @ your stage of the game is an EXCELLENT sign!) & feel good upon wakening, it can turn around in a matter of hours. It goes in spirals, cycles -- like just about everything else in nature -- it's not a straight vector as so many expect it to be. However, it does improve & the cycles get better as your body & mind begin to heal.

The toughest thing of all is what you mentioned about your impulse to reach for the meds. (We have a lot of unlearning to do. A lot of new skills to learn!) This is the long-term work that needs to be done in order to govern the threat that never sleeps (i.e. our addictions).

Believe it or not , you're doing great. Hold Fast!! :))

Day 3, i woke up feelung refreshed and feeling alot better for a few hrs even maxe it to walmart but 1/2 way through shopping my body started aching badly like it hit me all at once. Im now home debating to make my self keep moving or to jump in the shower and go lay back down. I was doing so good up until about 1 hr ago. This darn achy feeling is horriable its like it over powers all other pain and makes it 100 x's worse
Thats when i use ti grab my medication when my body got to a xertain point i would take a tab now trying to get my head wrapped around the idea in not taking it anymore it more dificult than said. But im string and i will bite this addiction is the butt and become me again.

All sounds really good so far. You are making it. Maybe instead of a shower you can fill up the tub with hot water and take a nice long bath.  Then you can stay in longer.

Day 3 should be about the same. After that you should start feeling little better each day.  Your doing great. Keep it up.

Hi & a Big Congrats on Day 2 ! :) (Look @ you!! You're really doing it :)

It's good to see you in a slightly stronger  frame of mind. As my friends above said, you're not alone & this is YOUR place. So, come here as often as you like. I'm glad that the showers are helping. Sleeping on an air mattress s*cks! I hope you guys can get a bed soon. You might ask your Husband to pick you up some Cal/Mag/zinc to help ease the RLS & some Imodium for the gut issues (if you haven't already). Keep up the great work & please let us know how you're doing. We're here & we're pulling for you!

Okay day 2 and so far im able to keep my wd to a min.... i have had 5 showers already.....given water heater is small and its 5-6 minutes each but amazing how hot showers help the aches and leg cramps.

Im wd from lortabs/perks 3-4 x's a day tops. I was able to taper my self with the last few i had fir almost a week which was still horriable. But im praying that it will get better from here. I have alive and tyalonal which i take when needed and flexarile only when needed to help with aches.

My husband bought me bananas, v8 frusion fruit drinks, immodium ad and made me soup. I have been in bed pretty much all day... other than tsking showers or checkimg in my kids and making them lunch.
Amazing how the hit water helps with aches/leg cramps for atleast 30-45 minutes after. I have been trying to watch cbs & lifetime movie on my phine when it lets me.

So honestly is day 3 going to be worse or better? I would love comments please...... i keep telling my self im strong and i will beat this!!! I will be my self again...find my self again...without the pills.....

Thank goodness today isnt that hot so i can take hot showers.

Hi there, im terribly sorry your going through such an aweful time atm. No air-con, or tv and on an air matress while your withdrawaling, ugh... You poor thing !!! Can you buy a tv from a pawn shop or the paper. This helps stop your mind wandering imensley.  If you get too hot and dont want to shower, soak a sheet or towel in cold water, squeeze it out and wrap around yourself while your laying there. Hang in there, we are always here for you : )

Just like the others, I feel your pain as well. My addiction is tramadol and I started ordering xtras from other states and other countries about four years ago. I've been on them for about 13 years. I get prescription from family doc and xtras become illegal as of August 14. There are a few if us on here with same delema. Doctors got us hooked saying they weren't addictive and now years later they are trying to back track and thing we won't be affected by the change. The flu symptoms and leg cramps are the worst and the heart being out of my chest. The minutes seem like hours and the hours are like days. If at all possible can you go to ER to get some relief from what your wd from? I'm sorry if I missed it but what are you wd from? When I was going through wd the several times that I did not by choice; it helped to let my husband, kids, and sibblings know what wad going on.  Talk as much as u need to so you aren't feeling like your in Alcatraz. If you can sleep ( which I coudnt because the physical pain) don't be alarmed by the halusanations. Your thoughts and movies that you may watch become bigger than life. Dont firget to drink a lot of water especially because it is already hot where your at with no ac. I'm sure you have heard all of this already from the good people on this site but just wanted to let you know that we read what people put on here and we care and if like now you need to knowthat your not alone in your pain and your not nuts with what your experiencing then write on here as much ad needed.

Try getting into the Schroeder and or a hot bath. With Epson salt if your hubby can buy it. If not then who cares. Hot bath is awesome. Will take the pain and RLS away gor awhile. Just lay there. Listen to music. Read a book or magazines. Watch a movie or TV show.

You are doing good. Day 1? Or so?  You'll make it they the week and will get better.

i feel your pain,  went through the EXACT same thing 5 yrs ago.   was supposed to just visit, but got stuck in south carolina, was on 160 mg of oxy 3 times a day and 15 mg IR and xanax.  had NO meds, was hot as heck (i am from nebraska) had to sleep in a trailer with no facilities and a blow up mattress.  no bathtub, except in the main trailer and there were 13 ppl living in there.
the good thing???  sweating will rid your body of the toxins faster.
even though it is hot, i would still take hot baths or if you are too hot, jump in a cold bath.  it is harder than anyone can imagine unless they have been there.
you are NOT alone

Dizzy- you aren't alone. You have a husband and kids. That's not alone. You also have us online peeps who understand.

Every symptom is a normal part of wd's. You are crying because opiates suppress everything, and when we stop, it all comes flooding out. You need to follow the thomas recipe on this forum. Ask your hubbie to get you the immodium and other things. You have to tell him.

As soon as you feel a bit better, go to an AA/NA meeting. You will get help up the wazoo!

You don't need to hide from your kids. You can call it a bad "flu." Being w/ them can get your mind off of this. It can also remind you or why you are doing this.
