Sorry for all of the typos. I guess I am pretty nervous about this whole thing. Take care and good luck!
My daughter is 17 and bipolar as well. Clamity, bipolars are very hard people to get to take their meds. I have been struggling to get her to take her meds; she deos not take them, and is now (just found out) that she has been takiking roxies for a week and feels like she is addicted to them. My son and his friends who apparently went through this at one time or knew someone who did is helping her withdraw. I raised my kids single handedly in a great area with great schools. This is not just a poor slobs drug. It can affect anyone. I just had this 'helper' take my daughterts phone away and wll start making her take her depakote for bipolar. Se wants to move far away so she cant see these 'bad' people anymore. Obviously she does not trust herself to not start up again. My daughter is highly intelligent who somewhere along the line met up with the wrong people. Impulse control is a huge problem with bipolars/combined with adolescence.
Sheila from what I have red, hallucinations are possible, shaking, tremors, vomiting and cold sweats. I wish you luck with this and please wish me luck as well. I am going to call my daughters doctor and fill him in on what is goin on as well. Not sure what else to do. I cannot afford a private detox hospital.
If she is addicted to roxi you can expect she will have a stash somewhere. Why is she not on meds for her bipolar dx?
