scared about unusual symptom

I posted earlier about a strange withdrawal symptom and had but one reply so I thought I might reword this...I have had "quick chills" or "tremors' since withdrawing from vic...a few weeks ago.  During these weeks, however, I was prescribed Hycomet, which I finished a few days ago.  I have tremendous lethargy, lack of interest, joint pain, tired all the time, but the one thing no one else mentioned is..."little tremors" like "quick chills going thru my body...has anyone else experience this and what causes it...I am afraid I might have done some harm to myself...thanks

Thank you for posting....I havent seen many posts with this symptom , so it is always  reassuring to know you are not the only one.  I will keep you in my prayers.....I was successful because I ran out, couldnt get to the doc and would not use any outside source  no matter what. In my heart I knew as long as the doc was perscribing and I needed them for the back pain i was not addicted...now I know better.  But I drew the line at ever goingto another source (dont know of any and would not go on=line) or doc shopping...so, I feel good that I was able to control that.  Now, just putting one foot in front of the other is difficult and I do have back pain, but a weight has beeen lifted and I will not go back.  You can do the same....the suffering of withdrawal is worth it in the long run...hang in.

I went c/t for  4 days, failed of course..but anyhow, I got those tremors real bad. And when I went back on the vics, I had the tremors real bad after taking them for about 5 days. Was very strange I thought. Almost like I would lose control of my body for about 6 seconds. So I think it's normal...at least, it happened to me. Good luck with everything and congrats on being clean. Pray for me, maybe one day I'll be there too! :-)

I do remember my sis got bronchitis every year and they always gave her a cough syrup with codeine in it. But of course she was never an addict to anything ( she is the good daughter LOL) so she just took it for a few days and then all was done. What Worried said sounds right on. I would certainly think that since being off Vics for months, if I introduced something to by body that had codeine in it I would certainly have some weird side effects. You are done with the medicine now right?  I would think that you will feel back to normal in a few days?

hycomet is a narcotic cough suppressant (liquid).....I had deep chest congestion, thought I had pneumonia and the hycomet helped....unfortunately, it also delayed my withdrawal, as I had a few weeks without Vic, then the hycomet came along...so, it has been like going thru withdrawal 2 times, even tho only on hycomet for a week...but....the problem again is the awful feeling of a quick tremor or chill that no one else seems to experience
