short term dilaudid

short term dilaudid

Thank you everyone who posts to this forum.  I had neck disc surgery just ago 10 days ago and had a dilaudid pump in the hospital then vicodin.  Soma too.  I'd never had a narcotic before but I have lost 2 family members to drug addiction and they scare me so much that I just flushed all the pills down the toilet after I got home from the hospital.  For 3 days now I have been shaking, vomiting, sweating and crawling to the bathroom. I didn't have any idea I would withdrawal after 3 days on dilaudid and 4 days on pills.I found this site last night and it has given me a lot of comfort.  Thank you.  It sounds like maybe another day or so?

Sorry I don't know much about dilaudid.  If it is withdrawal from vicoden for 10 days it should get better real soon.  Hopefully someone else will know more.

dilaudid is a pretty strong med , They should have warned you that it could happen ,that way you could have tapered your self off with the vicodin .How  many vicodin had you been taking . It will get better ,this will pass ,have you been getting any sleep?

Have you had any addiction problems in the past?  You could have the flu...I have had it for a week and feel much better today....lots of stuff going around...If it is WDs I would think you are through the worst and tomorrow will be better....take vitamins if you can and something to help you sleep....stay drinking your fluids like gatorade or something so you do not get dehydrated
