sleep again

I posted a question earlier in the week about sleep.  I'm tapering and have stuck to it. I wasn't sleeping at all for a few days.  The last couple of nightsI  did get some sleep 4/5 hrs which felt great.
I've never slept well anyway.  My question is this.  Since I've stuck to my taper for the last 10 days and have been taking a lower dose of vicodin, could my sleep be returning and when I finally quit the vicodin altogeher should I expect to have some sleep issues again with W/D?

Re:  Sleep.  Had major problems when tapering with sleep.  Don't try ambien or rozerem (they don't work).  Think Rozerem isn't as good as melatonin anyway.   Last couple of days I got a cold (used Nyquil for sleep) and it worked better than all the rest.  Or perhaps, it was just due to the cold (I know it's a cold and not withdrawal now since my hubby has it too).  I've tried taking most of my dose at bedtime too (don't know if that's helping, but got about 7 hours sleep last night).

I too have a bit of trouble sleeping- I tapered oxycodones. For me, I think it is that for some reason I get in bed and "think" too much-but that is just me!!! Keep going!!!

You might try taking Melatonin.  When you take high doses of narcotics your body stops producing natural things that help you sleep.  I take it and it took a few nights to notice but it is helping.  And it's one of those things that if it doesn't work, no harm.

Morning!

Boy, that is a tough question. Everyone reacts differently.

I have been a lousy sleeper since mental-pause, so I can't tell if the withdrawal effected my sleep or not.

I wouldn't worry about it though. If you are beginning to get some good sleep, then go with it. Don't worry about what will happen tomorrow or a week from now.

I am glad to see you sticking with your taper.
