it's pat of the detox process, and it will get better soon...

in the meantime - and some may not agree with this - but during this "phase" i don;t think a sleep medication is a bad idea (so long as you've never had a prob with that.)

sleep is VITAL to our strength. which effects everything.....

but do know, this part DOES get way better. and very soon.... we ALL went thru it... and if DID pass...

warmly,
mary

I went thru the sleepless nights and rls. I think the worst part of my wd was the rls and the mental chit after. But it does get better. You said your on day 16? Good for you and trust me dont go back cause i was such a stupid fudge and went thru wd twice. Well i used sleep plus from gnc and its all natural and it worked. Your way pass the bad chit but it does suck to have no sleep and rls. That **** drove me nuts. STAY STRONG AND KEEP CHUGING OVER THAT HILL. TRUST ME THE GRASS IS WAY GREENER

I have to agree with marcatj...I never had a problem with sleep medication, and tried all different kinds to get sleep...WE need sleep to function..
What i found to help me, was a 30 minute walk, then hot bath, and straight to bed...No tv at all...
At the beginning of my detox , i didn't have to much trouble with sleeping, or RLS..But after it came on BIG time..My RLS was almost unbearable...I had slept in the tub with a trashbag around my pillow, then just add hot water when it would get cold..The only med that helped me for the RLS was clonodine, and zanaflex...zanaflex was the best one of all i tried...But i ended up getting the prescription for it a little too late, and wished i had long before...As far as sleep, ExcedrinPM worked good on me, and so did melatonin...
You are going to be done with this soon, I promise....I know you don't want to go through all of this again...I know i sure don't....Stay strong, try to rest this weekend....
YOU GOT THIS!!!!   and vent anytime!!!
