i believe she is taking methamphetamines correct? Its the illegal stuff not the legal (ritalin etc) am I right? She might have some female issues going on. I had to have a hysterectomy at age 30 for mine.

i have never taken any kind of speed, except my Doc is hydrocodone...But my oldest was on adderall (adderrall) for ADD..And i am pretty sure it is classified as a methanphetamine...She had upset stomach terribly and had to get off...Whcih now looking back i am glad because i did not know at the time it is very addicting..
sorry about your daughter
i am sure someone else will help you, with more knowledge on it
Good luck

i was on methamphetamines for 4 years. Just guessing that this is what she's on. Until she tells us, we wont know but just from her not knowing what adderall (adderrall) was Im guessing its meth.

Is that right?  Adderall (adderrall) is amphetamine..I know a guy who takes it, for ADD...He is all over the place, hard to understand.  I saw a drug test in a shop with a panel fo methamphetatime and a panel for amphetamine.. Are they such differnt things that they should test for seperately on a drug panel test?

by DeezNuts, Sep 23, 2007 03:23AM
I'm not that knowledgable on these drugs...probably because I was always into downers...hated stimulants, too annoying.

Look at it this way...

Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Codein, Morphine...all legal if prescribed and used in a legal way. In many cases can be very helpful and effective for pain management.
Heroin however is derived from opium and put on the streets for the ultimate narcotic. It has no medical use, legally.

Adderall (adderrall) (amphetamine) is prescribed for ADD/ADHD.

Methamphetamine is derived from amphetamine and is abused by addicts that are chasing a much longer more intense high that can lasts for days. Like heroin, it has no use for medicine.

as far as the drug panel test...i'm sure they do have different chemical make ups. I'm sure that if one takes enough adderall (adderrall) they mey seem like they are on meth but taken as your Dr. prescribes should not be the result.

Yeah, I have students who are on adderal for ADHD/ADD etc.    I was on meth (crystal, crank, etc) fro a acouple of years and never had any tummy aches from it.   I have heard that adderal can cause upset tummy.

If she is taking a prescription diet aid, such as adepex(generic is phenteramine), it can irritate the stomach lining....as can meth if she is snorting or eating it. I don't know if that helps you or not, but I assume its not ADHD meds from what I've read from this forum

Adderal is an amphetamine as opposed to methamphetamine, both are highly addictive and stimulate the sympathetic nervous system "fight or flight"  response which involves esp. with meth (if snorting/smoking) an immediate trip to the bathroom, over the years I have done both may have went to the bathroom a lot but never sufffered any abdominal pain

My guess is she is having some "female problems" and the drugs (whatever it is she's doing) are simply aggravating it... Just my guess. I would suggest she see a doctor who can examine her. We can speculate all day, but only a doctor can make a clear diagnosis and give proper treatment. Good Luck... =)

Someone close to me has also been taking speed for a long time, so I know
abit about it. The abdominal pains could just be from IBS, speed can cause this.
I know what it's like to worry about someone u love, and I know ur mind won't rest
until you know what it is - but you've just got to remember, we're all dying anyway,
and once we do, we should be glad 2 be out of this ******, hate-filled world, because
we won't be in pain anymore.
I hope ur daughter is ok, this stress won't do you any good either, so try not 2 worry.
