Most drs do start people on super high doses cos the reps teach them about the drug plus an 8 hr course they take//online now// that is written by the Suboxone pharmaceutical company..so ofcourse they want to teach drs to bombard u with sub...sub is expensive and the company is making a ton..it is now slowly being given at methadone clinics so prices will come down eventually...it is a maintenence drug like methadone..methadone is dirt cheap cos it has been around for a while
Questioning ur decision now after u decided this is ur plan...is not really gonna serve any purpose...how long have u been at 16 mgs? I would get on down to 8nmgs then 4 mgs as quickly as i could...talk to ur sub dr and let him know about ur fear of another addiction...some dr's still think this narcotic is not addicting...21 days is what is claimed to be the cut-off to avoid sub addiction...have heard some say they did feel addicted at 21 days when they quit...i have never used it longer than 2 weeks//i was using it for the worng purpos tho and only to have pills when i ran out////when i quit i didnt use sub cos in actuality i liked it better than my doc....everyone is different..talk to ur dr..be safe and remember less is better with sub
