starting suboxone program

Well I start the suboxone program friday. They  said no oipates for 24 to 30 hours piror to app. How well does this program work? And will it takes all my withrdrawls and cravings away? And what can I expect from this progarm? Anyone know?

most of what is said above is true, as long as you are not transitioning from methadone, that is a whole other story...my advice to you is to also seek some type of support or therapy...the pill does not fix everything on its own, you still need to work at it and figure out if you will do a short term detox or long term maintenance, and have a plan in place for when you are off the sub...it is an awesome treatment, but you still need to make the commitment to it and work at it.

I have been on it for 2 1/2 weeks now. Find my post "Why did I do it again?" I have detailed day by day experience with the drug. Also it only was 11 1/2  hours since my last use when I started suboxone. Beware though it is not an easy way out. But certainly better than the alternative.

Sub works great, it kicks the WDs like a mother, just try to get them to give you something to help with your sleep, other than that you will be fine.

Yes it will take the WD's and cravings away, and it's great for pain! You HAVE to be in moderate WD when going in though or you can go into precipated WD which is much much worse than regular WD. If they tell you 24 to 30 hrs. be sure to do what they advise! The sub has been wonderful for me!! I hope it is for you as well.

I did not use suboxone, but from what I have been reading from everyone... it is great . Most people here swear by it.  Hopefully some of them will reply soon. I think everyone is at work. Hang in there ! Mary
