starting to feel like this will never end!

I guess I should be proud and thankful that I've made it this far. But I can't help feeling sort of hopeless. I still feel horrible in the morning all the way through to late afternoon. Just achey, jittery, depresses, huge headaches. But at least I slept (thanks mom). She also gave me deep tissiue massage that helped a lot. Here's a new symptom- constant sneezing! Like waves of sneezing back to back! Makes me wanna smack my head against a wall! I guesss I thought I'd be living my normal life by now- not still totally useless to myself and my family...

Well I'm glad we're on the same side. your knowlege has really helped as well- as I really know nothing other than how to swallow (the pills) and then how I feel after. And of course that I'm completely addicted to them as well. And you're welcome.

Oh wonderful, I occasionally feel like maybe I could help someone here and this week you were the one - like I could send you some energy to make it easier - I don't know why either. But I'm thrilled that it seems to be working. It makes me feel like I'm not a bad person despite being such an addict. Thank you.      - Mark -

Good morning Natalie. I'm sorry this was kind of dragged out for you but I'm so happy to hear that you seem to be feeling a little better. As that sneezing fades I think you can consider that your marker that you really are finally cleaned out and that you will start to feel better by the hour. Congratulations on doing such a good job to get to this point.

I am 9 days without hydros but used dome tylenol 3's to taper down and almost day 3 without anything and I am sneezing like crazy, couldn't sleep for the past 4 nights, emotional wreck today and also home with a 3 year old, there is no turning back but I am trying like hell to push through the wd's and take it a day at a time, sometimes a second is all I can do. I just have to remember how worth it this is going to be. Stay strong, we are in this with you. All the best to you.

hey girlee....ya the sneezing thing along with the mind bending headaches was a bit much at first for me but your going on a week
so things should start to subside as far as the physical stuff....
I agree with merrymaria that it takes a good 8 weeks to feel better
im at 58 days now and life is starting to come back to normal...or
whatever thats suppose to be..LOL...just hang in there each day will get
a bit ez er  but you don't notice it day by day rather every few days you notice your a bit better then you where b/4 at least thats my experience
but im coming off 10+ yrs of pills and lastly 6 1/2yrs of methadone
so my long term withdrawals will probably be worst then yours...its different for everyone....but it is what it is and theirs not much you can do about it but take it one day at a time..and as I have said to many...you just got to be ok without being ok for a wile till it all works its way out of your system....time heals you dident become
addicted overnight so your probably going to have to invest some time to feel better....just hang in there and congrads on your clean time
your on your way to success just a bit longer is all...good luck and god bless....Gnarly

Honestly, I think you might have another bad night and a bad morning. That's why I mentioned the blow dryer. It's my favorite trick. But I don't think it will be any worse than what you've already been through and I think the sneezing is a good sign because if that stuff is finally completely out of your system I think you will start to feel a lot better soon. I'm hoping you will. The sub did make it a little less intense but for a longer time. I can't see it getting worse but I really didn't want you to get discouraged if the upcoming night and day still sucked like the last couple days because I know you're close now. Do you remember what day it was that you took that suboxone?

so kolo,
Do you think by tomorrow, since the sub is out- I'll feel better? Or will it get worse before it gets better. I'm getting kinda scared.

i remember all that sneezing too...it s a good thing though....part of the detox...give yourself time....as every day passes it gets better and better...i couldn t wait to feel great and functional....it took me about 8 weeks to feel really good but it could be shorter for yourself....hang in there...take care of yourself...maria

It's been a week. I realize everyone is different but I thought I'd be more functional by now. I mean I have a toddler! Don't worry- there's no going back for me-no matter what!
Thanks for your post. The more I hear the good stories of how people felt day by day- the more hopeful I am.

Oh gosh, I hate to even tell you this but I'm pretty sure that the sneezing is an indication that the suboxone is finally out of your system completely. Believe it or not the suboxone surely made the last few days a little less bad than they would have been but it stretched out the time frame a little. You are in the home stretch now. Everything is out of your system finally and you will soon start to feel better. You've done great. Don't get discouraged now. The sub made it a little more of a fast taper rather than cold turkey. If you get chills tonight consider using a blow dryer aimed at your cold parts. I always found that helpful in the final stages when I had problems regulating my body heat and I abhorred the touch of blankets. The noise is very soothing as well. I'm wishing you well.
