still feel achey(achy)

question.....it's almost 3 weeks so to speak....off of vicodin...should i still be feeling achey (achy).....some days i feel great...some days not so good...today is not a good day.....is this normal.....dee

dee, yes its normal I went about the first 30 days on and off achey (achy) ,that and sleep issues took me almost 30 days as well.

Yeah, it was normal for me. But, here's what I did...I started a calendar..I'd keep up with the hours I felt "bad" and write them on the calendar. Some days it's 1..some it's 10. But, over time the numbers average down. Sometimes it helps to "see" progress.

What a good idea Ga Guy. Im going to start a little notes journal. Im sure I was feeling achy and somewhat depressed around the third week. I remember how bad I felt walking one mile. I felt like I couldnt do it!  Whole body ached. Im at day 53 and, soon to quit counting, I feel sooo much better in every way.

I would consider changing over to a muscle relaxer instead less chance of addiction.

soma works for my body aches. i dont care what anyone says about it. Ive never been addicted to it and it just plain works.

they do have muscle relaxers that dont make you sleepy. there are a ton out there.

bettie, is right there are some muscle relaxers out there that will not make you sleepy ,what have you tryed .I am surprized the valium does not make you sleepy as well.

you can actually get them online. look em up before you buy to see what makes you sleepy etc...i wouldnt recommend flexeril cuz that knocks me out. but skelaxin didnt. email me if you need more info.

or you could just take plain old ibuprofen OTC. that helps with aches.

i only take 1/2 of a 5 mg...so that's why i don't get sleepy...only in the morn....at nite the other half to sleep....but like i said not every day...some days i'n fine who knows i'm sooooooooo tired trying to figure this **** out...i guess it has to run it's cource
