suboxone - clinical guidelines for use of suboxone

This book was created by the US Dept of Health and Human Services.  It was created to provide best practice guidlines for Suboxone treatment.  Contributors to these guidelines are multiple experts including individuals from Yale and John Hopkins.  I would high recommend that you read this before considering Suboxone treatment.  Happy reading!

you're mighty welcome chickadee.  I've read that thing basically cover to cover.  I noticed several of the contributors were from my neck of the woods.  University of Washington (my alumni, go Huskies!) and Harborview Hospital which is a major trauma center.  My mother was air lifted there when she had her brain aneurysm.  It was so nice to find good solid medical research and expert advice instead of all the airchair quarterback experts out there (my doctor included!).  I feel so much better about the choice to do long term and I'm actually under the average dose for the stabilization phase. I'm on 8-16mg and the average I believe was 24.

Are you suggesting that Suboxone treatments are wrong or bad for your health...?

With thousands of detox facilities using this medication exclusively and thousands of doctors on top of that writing scripts for it I think it must be getting very positive results.........

Have you ever read the side effects from Tylenol, birth control pills, penicillin?

There are many things with a tremendous upside that have some horrilble side effects.....

huh?  Did I type something totally wrong?  why would I be saying this is bad? I'm the biggest advocate you'll find. I'm simply posting this because there is so much misinformation and opinion based "research" out there (and here) that I wanted people to be prepared when they go to their doctors and ask others for help.  Come on now beach....don't you remember me?  I'm hurt.  Or did you think I had a total change of heart the last few days. :-)

in re-reading my post I think my words "before considering" may have sounded like I was cautioning against using sub.  I probably should have written it to say "while considering".  Anyway, it's just a good bunch of info.  Sorry for any confusion, blame it on my bottle blonde.  lol
