suboxone question

its april2007 i have been on 400 to560 mgs. of oxys aday for 6years I will make this short  during all that time I was on all other opiods  and went through at least the worst withdrawls i can think of  and during them 6-8 years of hell iwent through at least 150 killer ones  so november that just pasted I GOT STRAIGHT YES I DID 100% so after 6 great months of real life I got scared a little  and on april 11 2007 I started 4 Mgs. of suboxone by a doctor never used it before  now after all the HELL I Went through I do this . My serious question now is I have been on it for APROX. 2 WEEKS and I want to stop now and after all the withdawls  I have been through THIS TIME I AM AFRAID MY QUESTION TO WHO REALLY CAN ANSWER ME AM I"M GONE TO GO THROUGH  WITHDRAWL AND IF SO HOW BAD  THANX  I can not believe me

Be proud of yourself first of all. it takes alot for us to transition at all to not taking any pills.  I have been on opiates for almost 6-7 years off and on.  I went through detox and I was put on suboxone and started feeling like this cannot be it....  I took my last suboxone about 9 or 10 days ago and the w/ds are nothing like the w/ds I had in detox just felt yucky.  Irritable, achy, yawns u know but not unbearable. there is someone on here and I feel bad but I cannot remember her name but she knows ALOT about Suboxone and helped to explain all of it to me.  i will browse the forum and see if i can find her name for you good luck.

thanx for the response, Ireally needed to here something pos. And good job  on what you did G.B., you. you did nt mention how long or how many m.g. the doctor had you on  If you can let me know thanx Keep up the good work

phony  did u get my question just wandering how long andmgs. before I go  off the suboxone dont slip  but be thankful it was tyl. 3 not worse  peace

He started me on 8 mgs a day 2 (4mg) n am and 2(4 mg) in pm and then after a few days only one (2mg) per day and then one(2mg) every other day.  I know it was only tylenol 3 but the fact that I let all those good days kind of go to waste and its like starting all over.  The weird thing I really did not get any type of relief from it.  I keep a bttle of hydros in my car just to remind me and try and see how strong i am but after that I think I need to trash.  Oh an with suboxone - they say not take anything else (opiates) with it b/c it can make u sick.

What really amazes me is how people use Suboxone, ,Subutex and Methodone.
It is suppose to be used for a max of two weeks and then your done. If used correctly that is all you will need to get off the drugs.
What usually happens is people just switch drugs...........
That is why addicts can't treat themselves........
How can a patient be expected to treat himself it really doesn't make sense.

The first step says Admit that your are powerless.......
So if that is true how can a person stop using by substituting one drug for another and then try to stop that one.......???

Most detox clinics inpatient only use subutex or suboxone for 5 days.....

Methodone is suppose to be for long time heroin users........and for 2 weeks..............

Just some thoughts to ponder...............
