suboxone questions

Hey all hope everybody is having a good friday! I want to hear what everyone thinks/knows about suboxone, I'm seriously considering it 4 treatment 4 my opiate addiction. I go tuesday for induction please tell me what to expect I'm so scared. I go 2 counseling every week and she said that sub or medical detox would b in my best interest, so guess since I don't have 3~5 days to do med detox. After years of abuse my liver panel was bad to much APAP so taper out of the ? I'm not strong enough 4 that anyway. So please any info on sub weather it b good or bad would b of great help.
Thanks, jessica

I pitched it after talking to my counsellor.  it did nothing.
soooo stupid.  but when you are feeling terrible you do whatever you can to feel better, and i made the mistake of thinking drugs will make it better.  i have been doing that for so long that it is just what i do...something i have to change immediately.
but tomorrow is a new day...hopefully i will learn from my mistakes.
i should be brilliant by now!

Thanks, best of luck 2 u as well. I read ur post about the coke, I did the same thing u did but it didn't work. I went thru a gram in like 5 hours had 2 do lines about every 20 min 2 keep the high up, it made me not sleep 4 2 days angry & grind my teeth, needless 2 say it did not satisfy my need for an opiate I've never done it again & that was 2 years ago, I'm guessing the cocaine won't do anything 4 u, I would get rid of it. I hope u get some pain releif & good luck

i can only comment on what i experienced.  i was taking about the same if not a bit more of oxycodone.
there is no harm in trying if you are with a doctor that is available to be reached.
my experience was terrible.  but as i said above i was told that i was taking too much for the suboxone to work.
the methodone on the other hand helped very much with the cravings and the withdrawal.  everyone that was on methodone at the rehab said it was a miracle drug.
your doctor will know as long as you are honest with him if it will work for you or not.
one thing that i have realized is that most addiction doctors that i have come in contact with have been very understanding and are willing to listen if you voice your concerns to them.
i wish i could help more.

if you take a narcotic medication the suboxone will not work nor the narcotic therefore you will have nothing in your system to help with the withdrawals.

I may have misunderstood the information I read regarding suboxone, but I was under the impresson that using another narcotic along with suboxone would throw you into withdrawals?  Someone please explain this to me.  I just got out of a detox hospital where I was first given "Subutex" then "Soboxone, due to long-term use of "Oxycontin" and chronic pain. I've been on it for about one week now. thanks,  carolm

how much opiates were you using? i have been on suboxone and methodone.  the suboxone was not strong enough for me.  i felt like i was in a hole and unable to move.  i was later told while i was in rehab that it would not have been strong enough which is why they put me on methodone.  methodone was a huge help.
