suboxone taper
I need help. Been taking sub for a year and a halh w/out doc. I take 6mg in mornig and 4 in evening. I need a good taper schedg a day and it was hell.ule. It can be over time but i need to feel as comfortale as possible becuase I have to work. Have tried to stop cold turkey while takinh 16 - 20mg and it was hell even while takin xanax to help. Anyone help would be wonderful. I have heard withdrawals last a long time 2-3 weeks. I am considering taking oxys to avoid sub WD's and deal with the 5 days of hell. PLEASE HELP? THANKS
Have you tried to taper your Sub before?? Because of the long half like it is easier to taper. however I am not sure with how long you have been on it.. I know that alot changes the longer you are on it.. going down 2mg a week would probably be painless. I would start cutting our your evening dose first. And try to get down to dosing once a day.
Hi! I am new to the forums and just joined this one after reading a couple posts about Suboxone. I just started taking it a couple months ago. I've had 2 relapses (from oxycontin and hydrocodone). I started on the Sub again yesterday, because I am sick of being a slave to the other drugs.
The reason I relapsed was because I feel really tired on the Sub and even depressed. I wanted to feel that euphoria from the oxys that you just don't get with Sub. But, I realized that the high is not worth being addicted and spending tons of money week after week.
I am determined to make this work, but I'd really like to talk to other people who are in the same boat as me. I feel alone even though I know there are others out there with the exact same problems. I want to go to NA meetings but I chicken out before I even get out of my car. I'd appreciate any and all comments...thanks all!
