Just checking on you, your thread is on page four. I was hoping to hear an update on what's going on. Keep us posted and make new friends, it really helps to have someone watching your back, especially without a doctor. Did you go get more or just tapering with what you have?
Yes you will go thru withdrawal. Talk to the doctor prescribing. He can give you a very good weaning schedule. You'll experience some as you get down to 4 then 2 then stop but it won't be too bad. Not sleeping well will be part of it but you have to ride that out and it will go away too. You may be tired, nose run and some aches.
But definitely talk to Dr. And be prepared for cravings etc. do you have support? Going to meetings? 2 weeks on is not very long. Are you sure you will not go back to using?
Good luck!!
i was gonna do it alone cause i have to be at that clinic at 530 in the morning on monday to get new script but its starting to interfere with my job schedule
I was on subs for 1 1/2 years. We can't give taper advise here, but I can say gradually decreasing is a good idea. Now keep in mind I didn't say you would for sure.
Sub is an opiate, the healing from heroin has not been completed, so you will go through some withdrawal. If you taper down, it won't be too bad. You won't have acute withdrawal, vomiting, shaking sweats, you know the symptoms. Anxiety, digestion, RLS, and insomnia are more likely. Every body is different. Consider 8mgs of sub is equal to 320mgs morphine, so I would taper down fast and be done. Taper doesn't seem to shorten detox, but reduces the severity. Are you doing this alone or with a doctor?
and how long will i withdrawl
im 39 and very healthy and i been taking subs for 2 weeks and your telling me i will withdrawl if i just stop what if i take my last one and cut it in to fours and gradually cut down will that work better
Hi and welcome! That's a really good question. Subs stay in your system for 21 days and its a synthetic opiate. I would have to say probably. Tell us more about yourself....
