Unfortunatelly your doc was wrong. Suboxone does indeed come with its own set of wd woes.
I came off sub at 3mgs, which is not typical, most taper down to a small amount, but I have spoken with a few people that said anything less than 2mgs is just prolonging misery.
I certainly had wd's, and they werent pleasant, but nothing too bad either. The first week was the hardest, and I use that term lightly. The two weeks following things started to get gradually better.
Here I am 36 days later and feeling great, Its all but a distant memory!
Hang in there!

You jumped off to high a dose. Your clinic Dr needs to get more training on Sub because he was completely wrong. That is a big problem with sub Dr's is that they don't know enough about sub. They only do so many hours of training and they are certified to prescribe it. Because sub is not a full opiate they think there is no withdrawals. Sub is a big money maker for many Dr's and they love putting patients on them without being 100% with them.
Like avisg said you really need to really taper down to crumbs to lessen your withdrawals.
good luck
You need to continue to taper down all the way to a crumb .If you jump off here it going to be pretty hard I am guessing you are on the 8mg tab so you are down to 4mg? If so keep tapering.
