subutex pregnancy

My missus is 10 weeks pregnant and taking low doses of subutex since before she found out. Shes taking 1.6 mg a day and wants to detox from now at 0.6mg a fortnight is this safe?

there is no reason to change over to methadone .she needs to speak with her doctor tell her to contue her slow taper until she can see the doc. She is taking the subutex which is good they switch ladies over to subutex when they find out there pregant  instead of suboxone .

Thanks, surely its got to be better to taper off than to stay on it or change to methadone like some people are suggesting

My opinion is that (if approved by her doctor) she should continue to taper until she gets to only a crumb -  then a crumb every other day ----  It still is going to be rather difficult so she will need your support.  All the best.

she should really check with her DR.  in order to know what is safe for the baby, this is best done under the DRs. supervision.
