tapering

I am trying to get my daughter who has been abusing norco for the last 4 years to taper, does anyone know of a website where I could purchase norco online without a prescription. Or something else to help with the withdrawals?

Purchasing drugs off of the internet is illegal. No one here is going to tell you where to buy drugs. Please understand, that is not meant to be rude. I realize you are trying to help her, but buying her illegal drugs is certainly not the answer.

May I suggest that you take her to your family doctor and come clean with him about her abuse. There is also in-house rehabilitation centers that could help her. Check your local telephone book. Or, do a search on the internet for rehabs in your state.

I wouldn't get her more norco, it would only fuel her addiction. Help her get off of these pills, there is a recipe called the thomas' recipe, its for going cold turkey. You can look it up on this website, it really does help to ease withdrawal and make it bearable, but she has to want to quit. I don't have any experience with norco but i know that a lot of people on here have and they can help you.

I tried that took the thomas guide into the doctors office and also asked for a pres for buenophorphine or hoever you spell it and they would not help. Need to know how to do this and stil lbe able for her to go to work. I cant find any help I am frustrated and tired.

I agree with the above posts.......bonnie I know a lot of people who are still buying a lot of pain pills off the computer Costa Rica really does not care about US laws the only thing is there websites go down and reappear like Houdini to avoid prosecution..........and this is not a dope house thats for sure..lexysmama I agree would not get her more Norco it will for sure fuel her addiction......and 222 I agree with go see a family doctor and be totally honest tell him where you are with her and ask him his recommendation unless this doctor is a masochists he will help her........it does not have to be Norco it can be something else do you have insurance?
Another key thing here if she is going to try to taper at home are you willing to take on the responsibility of dispensing her pills to her?
We would all agree that going cold turkey will cause tons of stress, anxiety and W/Ds........

Then what do you suggest, we tried every other avenue came clean to the doctor and he still was not willing to help. She has to keep her job to help support her family, I realize that illegal drugs are not the answer, but what I am looking for is a solution, do you have anything besides legal advice??

I would suggest trying another Dr!  If that doesn't work, keep trying until you find a Dr willing to help!  Best of luck!

I am tapering from a norco habit also. I am down to 50mg a day from 100mg a day. It has not been easy but doable. Where was your daughter getting her norco for her habit? Did her source go away or did the dr. find out that she was abusing it. She probably will have to take some time off no matter what avenue she takes. If she decides to do the subutex treatment please tell her to only stay on it a maximum of two weeks and to taper as low as she can go before she  stops taking it. I am going to list the web address that you can go to and find a dr. in your area who will prescribe this. It is

has she tried to Thomas' recipe yet? If not she has to try it, even if it means taking a few days off of work. She might lose some money but its worth it to get off the pills. The thomas' recipe REALLY DOES WORK. She doesn't need the buprenorphine   or whatever it is lol. She needs to understand that she s going to feel uncomfortable for a few days but its the necessary part of recovery, you shouldnt let her take the easy way out. You just need to help her out during these uncomfortable days if you really want her to get better, it might take a lot out of you but in the end she will thank you and you will feel proud

And if you really feel the need of help from a doctor then i would suggest going to a different one (preferably an addiction specialist). What are her withdrawal symptoms?
