thank you to all her have responded, you have been a help and i will continue to look to see if anyone else can help with this and yes i will take good care of her. she is taking alot of baths and it does help alittle. is there any over the counter drug that will help ease the withdrawl a little bit? She has xanax as well that her doctor perscr. for her to sleep at night but she does not take anymore and hasnt taken it since she started her methadone and she is afraid to take it now. it is not a high dose or anything but would it be safe for her?

If her dr prescribed her the xanax with the m'done, it can help take the edge off and help with her sleep. She has taken it before so she knows how it works. No one here is a dr to say what drugs are right to mix but i did use some xanax when i first started on methadone to help relax and my clinic knew i was taking it but a rule of thumb, they dont want the two mixed because if the xanax is abused with the m'done it's can be to much on the system. You can call a phamacy and tell them what was prescribed and what might be safe.
