think brothers using heroin again, help! dno the signs

my brothers recently come out of jail after 6 years and he started off well but like always old "friends" start coming around as soon as they heard he was out, and after a while he started hanging with them again, its just me and mum at home, and now my brother, and we try to help as much as we can to make everything easy for him, but it seems thats not enough for him. im worried about him so i get abit nosey, PLUS hes an idiot and doesnt hide things well, or thinks we dnt notice?? i dno. anyway, starting to find pieces of foil cut up into sort of squares, i remember these with the burn marks and all from wen he used to use, anyway we kinda wna confront him but making sure we kinda know all the facts, i find magazines or papers with squares cut out of them, cut up foil and the magazines have burn marks on them aswell, its obvious hes doing it again but i wna know what everything is for exactly, this is just so that wen he tries and tells us that 'foil isnt used for smoking it, therefor he ISNT smoking it' we can tell him that it IS for that. bcoz mum and i dno exactly what everythings for, he uses it to his advantage and makes things up about what we find, and bcoz we're not 100% sure, we dont push it, sorry for the long post but i kinda need help so that wen we confront him i know what to say and i correct him wen hes lying, thankyouu

Yes you will get a reply out here, I think a couple just cut out, but there are peeps on and off all day and some have the knoledge that you are looking for. Myself my problem was with abusing pain meds.

There really isn't any other explanation for squared off foil with burn marks.   Does he smoke cigarettes?  If so, look for cigaraettes with long ashes.  Yes, I know it sounds weird but heroin addicts light ciggys and then nod off, leaving long ashes and sometimes burn marks of their fingers.    Also, is he nodding off.  Watch him when he thinks you aren't.  See if he is nodding out.  Is he itching his face?  Not rapidly but slowly here and there?

I wuld say that if the foils weren't burnt maybe hes just dealing but sounds like he is using.   If he lives in your moms house she should demand a drug test and then perhaps you all could convince him to get help, if he wants it at all.

hey there. I am an old dopefiene from the word go.. but if you want to know if he using again. look for pinned pupils.. dry mouth. maybe some speeding around some or a good old nod.. he will be talking sometimes and then just kind of dose alittle, loss of appitite,... you can kind of tell, if you feel ike something isn;'t right, chances are, its not right.

RLB1958 you got that right if he is using Heroin he will have pin dot pupils even in the dark......

One thing is for sure with an addict trying to quit......
The biggest problem is hooking up with friends that use................
If he is with them he will use too there is no will power known to man that can stop an addict to use if it is right in front of them.......
