did the melatonin help you sleep.  If so, yes 3 mg is kinda high.

I've been taking the 3 mg melatonin for the past four nights and have had no problem with it...My niece was actually told by her psychiatrist to take it because she was having trouble sleeping and did not want to take any type of sleeping pill...It has worked well for her also...
Hope your headache goes away :]

thanks guys for the info.  I tried something one time that had melatonin and it was 1mg and said not to exceed that, but that you can take it whenever needed.....it was very confusing.  I remember being able to sleep like you said for a couple hours and would wake I think im gonna try the sub lingual kind and see if they work better.  thanks again.

Do you take any anti depressants??  Like a SSRI or something... some of them do not mix well with Melatonin and could be the reason for your headache... Melatonin works with serotonin in our brains.. so you may wanna check.. if you take one if they are affecting each other

I've heard that it helps, and tried it years back.  It did help make me sleepy.  However I discovered that it's affect on the liver is not positive.  My doc just brought it up again though, and he's aware of my conditions so I may ask him during the physical I have scheduled over the next 2 weeks.
